XRP bull run

Trump posted a follow up on truthsocial clarifying that the reserve will include BTC and ETH as well.

The posts today weren't about Ripple (or Solana or Cardano). They are about promoting crypto as an industry in the USA. I expect we'll eventually hear news about the Working Group looking to add all sorts of alt coins to the reserve.

I asked David Sacks (Trump's Crypto Czar) what criteria they will use to determine if a crypto should be included in the reserve:

Corey Klippstein on the Strategic Shitcoin Reserve:

"You get a shitcoin! You get a shitcoin! Everybody gets a shitcoin!"

It's interesting that Schiff has changed his tune on BTC after being wrong for so many years. Now he's just wrong about XRP. But who knows, give him a few years and he might come around.

XRP is a technology designed with banking and financial institutions in mind. So I can see why it was added. Also the Ripple officers probably greased the wheels a bit when they donated $5M in XRP to Trump during his inauguration.

Truly is disgusting how the president leverages his followers. It’s shameful to the whole country.

Newbies like Trump are always drawn to shitcoins, then they slowly learn.

I think he has literally no awareness of how any crypto operates, even at a very basic level. He's taking advice from people he's surrounded himself with including his own son. Look at his stupid $TRUMP meme coin, what a joke.

That being said, there's more to crypto than bitcoin. Bitcoin, with its slow 7 TPS, will never be adopted by banks or financial institutions other than being held as a form 'digital gold'. The next wave of crypto will be more about utility. That is banking, high volume of transactions, and tokenizing financial assets. This explains the inclusion of XRP, ADA, and SOL.

He did not change his tune. He acknowledged the argument for it while disagreeing with it.

If you go back far enough Schiff was saying bitcoin would never be valuable because there too many other 'copy' coins. He was equating bitcoin with every other altcoin.

Now he's differentiating bitcoin from altcoins, much the same as a bitcoin-maxi does. So that's the change I was talking about, he's now publicly acknowledging that bitcoin is somehow different from altcoins.

So when Trump's team invite CEOs of the various companies in the blockchain space over to lobby their inclusion in a strategic reserve, who's there representing BTC?

And that's the problem.
