True mate, since you're 60 years older than me and have had much more time to learn about the parties please tell me the differences between the economic and civil liberty policies of these parties:
Lib Dems, One Nation, Senator Online, Libs/Nationals, HEMP party, Family First, Country Alliance, Rise Up Party, Secular Party, Climate Sceptics, Bank Reform Party, Stable Population Party, Smokers Rights Party, Fishing and Lifestyle Party, Shooters and Fishers, Building Australia Party, Australian Voice Party, Australian Independents, Greens, Stop CSG, Katter's Party, Palmer United, Australian Republicans, Animal Justice Party, Motoring Enthusiasts, Wikileaks, Australian Democrats, Sex Party, Labor, Stop The Greens, Drug Law Reform, Bullet Train for Australia, Christians, Citizen's Electoral Council, Socialist Equality, Pirate Party and Democratic Labour.

Just typing that list out took ages, but I know it will be worth it because you're a prime example of a well INFORMED voter who knows exactly what he is voting for. So if you could please share your wealth of knowledge on the differences of the economic and civil liberty policies of those groups I would greatly appreciate it and I'm sure others would as well.

We knew an election was coming in September back in January when Juliar called it for September 14.

You have had 8 months to research the parties, don't ask others to make such important decisions for you.
 
There a few threads around on some of these parties, but if it's worth anything (probably not), here's my 2 cents. Completely unbiased views.

Libertarian economically and socially
Lib Dems
Pirate Party
Family First (largely, I think - they have a couple of socially conservative positions)

Libertarian socially but no economic policies to speak of
Sex Party
Drug Law Reform

Centrists
Libs/Nationals (centre-right)

National Socialists (can have a suite of pro-liberty policies but fundamentally still encourage large government intervention with a veneer of markets)
Rise Up Party
Katter's Party

Democratic socialists (nasty pieces of work)
Labor (noting that a lot of the bad ones have stepped down and hard to tell what the new group is really like)
Australian Independents
Democratic Labour.
Australian Democrats


Single issue parties (largely ignore)
Bullet Train for Australia
Bank Reform Party (have no idea of what reforms are really needed)
HEMP party
Motoring Enthusiasts
Smokers Rights Party

Highly socialist scum bags (typically with a smattering of socially liberal policies) and other Whack-jobs

Firstly, I wasn't going to vote because I consider it a waste of time.
Secondly, I'm not asking people to decide for me, I was asking which parties are the least fascist.

Thanks Bordsilver! That should be pinned up at every polling booth haha.

And the short answer is that a socialist/communist could not organise a chook raffle, or a root in a brothel. (Ask your mother what that means.)

They have NO idea on income and expenditure, or that you cannot spend the same dollar twice. They do not understand that any fool can borrow money, but only the clever ones can pay it back.

Back to school. and take more notice of your teachers, and less of the girl in the next seat.

Here I was hoping you'd share your indepth knowledge of all the parties. I guess it's possible that you were just talking shit and will probably just vote lib/nats or libdems without researching the rest?

Our resident grandson knew a lot more than me at 14!

Son, I have been watching politics for over 52 years. I went to a couple of Sir Robert Menzies policy speeches in the Kew Town Hall in about 1958/1960.

I have watched the Libs and the Socialists, and I know which ones are talking rubbish and lies and self delusion.

Voted Labor in '72 and '74. NEVER AGAIN!

You should have listened to your grandad back in the olden days of '06.

So you've been watching politics for 52 years and don't know the differences in the policies of the 35 Senate parties... well now I don't feel so bad.
I must say though, I am truly sorry for so deeply offending you and damaging our country by trying to find out more about the parties on a forum of largely like minded people within a thread about election decisions.

Somehow, even though he confessed to also not know about many of the parties, Bordsilver managed to provide a relevant and helpful answer. I guess you knowing everything doesn't really help much if you can't get down off your high horse and offer meaningful advice.

The socialists are a bunch of incompetent wankers that could not run a chook raffle. What more do you need to know? The 'minor parties' simply do not rate, as the greens have proven.

OC I think that you are being hard on Labor, they definitely could run a chook raffle for a while at least - until the local AWU rep appears and calls a strike, the money from the cash tin disappears and the faction that is promoting the raffle has a fight with the raffle ticket faction and there is a leadership spill.
 
No good, the power would be cut off due to non payment of the account, and the chook would be green by the time of the draw.

Initially i want to thanks your post but then i hesitate. I do not think you are a nerd. I haven't heard of half of those people either. Today when i am on my way to work, i saw people posting signs on the road stating Better School, Better Medicare, Better Housing. On TV, I saw Kelvin Rudd BBQing on the beach, Tony Abbott playing guitar. No offense they should social and relax before the election day. But i really do not feel any leadership. We really need a REAL LEADER in our country, a leader who inspires, a leader who leads, a leader who is for the people. And Socialism doesn't work especially in our generation. We have reach the limit of debt and tax hike will not help us either. I rather tell the pubic the truth and offer some solutions to reduce as much pain as possible for the majority during the economic slowdown.

Reminds me of the olden days when large white paint signs on brick walls said 'Menzies OUT!' They stayed there for years.

OC it looks like a lot of people don't know about a lot of the parties. Maybe to save our country you should do a detailed analysis on the differences between them all? Consider it your patriotic duty.
