Who's made their decisions on the election?

Liberal Democrat David Leyonhjelm's name appeared first on the extreme left of the NSW Senate ballot paper and he may go to Canberra as a consequence.

"Looks like I'm going to be the senator for the donkeys," he said.


So a donkey vote counts, from the left of a ballot???

He probably meant people just selecting the very first one without caring which party.
 
I think he got the vote based on a ground swell of support for liberalism and freedom informed voters voted for the liberal democrats

Well he may be right but not a great advert for the party, still, refreshing from the usual "The People have spoken" rhetoric!

Some people may have actually voted for him to get on the gravy train, hope he realises that.

A zombie vote
 
Got an email from David saying that he intends on building the public profile of the LDP and himself for the next 3 years regardless of how he got the seat so that there can't be any confusion at the next election. He also said his politicial inspiration is Ron Paul.
 
I have to give credit to David, he will respond to emails that are sent to him.

in a drunken stupor one night a couple of years ago I sent him a rambling email, he responded, I responded back with an apology and an explanation, he understood.
 
I might add he is the only politician who has responded to my drunken emails.

Barnaby Joyce has not.

Bob Katter has not.

FFS what is this world coming to if you can't respond to a drunken email?
