That being said, I too think these are beautiful medals. I bought the 5oz variety only and in a big way. I think they are going to do fine over time but not a double overnight for sure.
But the confusion that has occurred because of the 3 die varieties, the in and out of stock at PA, and the other issues guys are having with this medal really has caused many unneeded headaches for us owners.
I'm not trying to be a complainer (mentioned that this morning too at other site) but really, this has been one heck of a tough purchase. And no, I'm not interested in selling them back to PA, got these to hopefully hold onto a couple for my 2 kids, sell the rest for decent profits down the road. So I truly hope that many of the issues that guys have mentioned over the last month get put to bed soon, PA finally sells out and we all look to a bright future with these medals.
(I'm in the USA and do have a medal for sale at feebay)

It seems to be an American thing pushed by Panda America, so the comparison with older panda medals doesn't really make sense. For the price and the trouble of ordering from the US I personally wouldn't bother.
If it was a real Chinese panda it wouldn't be a Panda America exclusive.

Bought another 2 more 1 oz .
So in total i have 1-5oz and 4 1oz . A pity is that they cut the plastic package .![]()
Pandacollector said:I am told by PandaAmerica that the Singapore medals are struck at the Shenzhen GuoBao Mint. They are 100% genuine China Mint products. It is also not unusual for a Chinese coin, or medal to have a single distributor. There are many well-known modern Chinese coins that had a single distributor at some point, including Unicorns and Inventions and Disoveries.
Best wishes,
