HR dragon is now listed at Talisman for $200.00

Why do they have to gouge so much , talisman used to have decent prices but not anymore.

I can only assume that they didn't list these until after seeing what the market would bring. I called before they were released and they couldn't tell me if they would be in stock or not. I had to order one from the mint.

Like any other business, they started very competitive. Once the customer base is big enough, it's time to make some margin.
(disclaimer: i know nothing about talisman and never deal with them before, it's just a general comment)

Talisman coins suck, I can't understand why anyone would want to do business with them.

Still waiting for my 5 x 1oz Coloured Proof Dragons to arrive. (been months now)
They took the order, took my credit card details. Still no email or coins.
Contacted them at least 5 times to ask what the status of the order is = no reply.
Haven't been charged yet either.
Would be nice to know either way if they are sending them or not.
So can at least look elsewhere to buy.

Where do they get the retail price of $400 from? But I have to say, they take some really nice pics of the coins :)

Forget about those coins and move on and don't waste your time on contacting them, they'll either ignore you or start sending some crazy religious emails to you.

I cant believe how many of you still get sucked in by the mint. These coins are horse shit. Some may make a quick buck selling to suckers who dont know jack, but most will get stuck with this crap. If you like looking at them and your not doing as an investment, fair enough.

Real serious stackers and investors don't touch this shyte. Bullion bars and coins are the real go. 1oz coins or below only IMHO.

How many more will get taken for a ride by the Perth Mint I wonder.

Scorp

I don't think anyone had to ever sell a Perth Mint Lunar coin for below issue price...

Not entirely true, the gilded coins have no love at the moment.

Gilded Dragons are the Perth Mint's "Best sellers" this week.

They had the titanic coin as best seller when HR dragon was released... and guess which one isn't sold out yet?

:P

Perth mint... i'd trust em as far as I can throw them.
