I think Perth Mint is trying to tell me something ;)

At least it was on the Welsh dragon, those guys don't care about numbers :P

I got the coin today from the mint and it is AWESOME. So much detail on the dragon. I just wished they made a 2oz version..

There aren't enough dragons for you?! please don't give them any more ideas because I can't afford a 10 oz High Relief, though I could probably scrape together the cash!

A 2oz version would bring out more of the detail I reckon, given the large diameter. The 1oz high relief feels like a 1/2oz coin to me :)

I would like a couple of these. I've been under a rock it seems. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Does anyone know if they intend to do a high relief gold dragon?

I just got confirmation email that mine has been dispatched from PM so all going well I'll have a cpl for you in a few days Lovey - for the right price :D

I'll MSG you later

Just got my email too, one is on the way.

My local Post Office is under the impression that they have some coming their way, they have the High Relief Kangaroos in stock so maybe they have, i will keep an eye out and see if any come in.

Still plenty available at the Perth Mint retail store. Called in today, she said "There are less than 100 in stock".

Which admittedly is open to interpretation, but it wasn't: "There are less than 5 in stock."

I wrote to them on Monday about my black dragon order and was told they had only just come in and were being sent out this week so hopefully not too much longer to wait :)

thanks, I ordered one too from Downies (the parent company of Eurocollect), have not heard from them either. I will call them tonight if I can remember :)

They process order very slow even if for older coins. Sometimes can be as long as 2 months. Seems the company is mismanaged.

I ordered one from Talisman coins, have not heard from them either.

I read that each US dealer can only get 3 High Relief Dragon coins. It may be true.

You ordered one from talisman??? when did they have these listed ,I have called and emailed then about this for weeks with no response.

I was talking about "black dragon ", i.e. Berlin coin show dragon. I ordered from Talismancoins

No, Talisman coins did NOT bother to sell high relief dragon to the public. My guess is that they will flip on Ebay themselves. Coin dealers are flippers too :)

Plus, they may not get the number they want. I read that some US coin dealers can only get 3 in all. So they double the price and put the coin on their web site right away.

Thanks for the clarification picturefun, that makes more sense they must have just got a small allocation like you said , i just wish they could let me know one way or the other ,it always seems to be a big cloak and dagger secret with this company as far as what they are getting.

You are welcome. If it does not cost you too much, you can try to call them. Most of time, no one answer the phone, but sometimes, they do pick up the phone.

I may call them about my black dragon coin order in a week or two. If I get through, I will ask them about high relief dragon. But I suspect they will keep the profit for themselves :)

Just received this via email a couple minutes ago. A bit more of the story.

ParadiseMint.com

I got an email from the PM yesterday saying my order was ready for pickup at the counter. Glad I was able to get one at least.
