What are ebay bucks?

In all seriousness, if you haven't already, definitely activate your eBay Bucks thing.

I forget how you do it, but it's easy & free. Found somewhere after you log into your eBay account.

Basically like a reward dollars program for certain listings. Typically 2% on eligible purchases. Once you accumulate $5 eBay Bucks or more within a calendar quarter, at the start of the following calendar quarter, they become available for you to spend on any eBay listing (but expire after about a month).

What's cool are the eBay Bonus Bucks. Same concept, but they multiply that 2%, so you can earn 3x, 4x, even 5x eBay Bucks for like a couple days.

You can really rack up some "credit" that way pretty quickly.

Definitely look into it & activate ASAP.

I am pretty tempted to grab another 5 BU to match my proofs, but bit of a risk until we see how the coin turns out.

Once I get them in my hand, I'll check the going price at that time & make my decision then.

Might be too late at that point, but that's fine with me. I'm good for now, though have toyed with the idea of picking up a couple more (1 proof/BU set, or 2 of one version).

Someone on this thread ( I think) made a good point. If the coins are a winner and you've purchased more than one it might make a lot of sense to hold the extra(s) for trading purposes for the future year's proofs in the series, especially if the prices are jacked up next year and subsequent to that..

Wha.... 80% under market pricing (given $750 price tag at FCC)? How are these still available?! :P

I don't know if anyone else knows this or posted it already (I haven't read all the comments) but I've just learned that that First Coin Co. is giving a discount of 5% on any order of 10 or more of the BU Lunar Skulls coin using coupon code MYSKULL5 .

I ordered 2 BU Skulls coins from FCC before I learned of the coupon code...I may just have to ask to get the 5% discount and order 8 more to make a total of 10.

.

Last sold: $155

Current Ask: $159

Been going up now after every purchase. Supply getting that much tighter?

Still quite a few unaccounted for. Haven't found anything elsewhere aside from eBay & FCC.

Partner & other dealers holding out? Quietly hawking them to their VIP customers?

Also, meant to ask:

Has anybody seen these mentioned elsewhere on other forums?

I've only seen one thread so far, made earlier today. Only 1 (positive) reply, but plenty of views.

Word is very slowly spreading, which may buy us some time.

The Lunar Skull newbies may balk at the proof price, but still be interested in the BU.

Yes, I first learned about the coin from Modern Coin Forum member Joe1320's post/new thread:

Like Zombucks, Like Lunar Coins then this coin series may be for you!!!

The thread has 40 replies.

I've also mentioned the coin on The Silver Forum under their today I bought thread, but no real response.I will start a new thread there.

Last sale of proofs (2) at $169 and asking price is now $179. Doubled my money before these coins have even been released :)

This could be the new tulip mania. Seriously. If they get jacked to 200.00, I'm selling one of mine pre sale, for kicks. We have nothing tangible yet, just a paper sale. This is quite funny. The owners must be scratching their heads in excitement. This very we'll could be a buy the rumor (sketch), sell the news (coin). And then just like those on 'stock forums' saying....toooo the moon, while smart money is selling, reaping the bucks, while the little people get hosed. Just say'n. LOL.

barsenault, tulip mania? You can grow a tulip. You can't grow a 500 coin mintage :P

LOL. I truly hope it is what the image portrays...it's up to 199.00. I just may put one up for 250. I'll let you know how it goes. LOL.

Back 10-20 bucks ago, I was thinking this could -- could -- possibly end up being a $300+ coin when all is said & done, with still being able to double your $$ at the then-current price.

I submit Exhibits A & B:

Not sure of what kind of coin "universe" y'all are familiar with, but there's Ag stuff out there that sells for thousands of dollars apiece. (I don't explore the 5-figure realm, though I know it exists.)

Seriously, people throw big $$ around sometimes. If you own one or more proofs, be mindful of how much you let it go for, especially if have just one. As nutty as it may seem.

EDIT: Make that like $40 ago.

I think it would be a hoot if all orders for 89 are canceled. LOL

Heads would roll. :)

We're fine. I'm guessing son-montuno probably wasn't really sure how to price them originally. $89 seemed reasonable -- at the time.

I believe he's pleasantly surprised at how quickly it caught, especially with the original listing getting gobbled up like candy.

I'm sure mintages & pricing will be tricky for 2016. Gotta find that sweet spot.

BTW, I almost bit for a couple more at the $150-$180 range tonight. Couldn't do it.

Still might go for a couple BU's down here. Percentage-wise, they might do pretty okay, with limited downside.

It'll be interesting if he didnt secure the allocations from the mint.... :/. Riot on SS!!
