You can still come across some older date coins in your change, but coins do wear, and the mint keeps producing ciculation coinage in various denominations. So does anyone have an idea of the circulation life of coins? Do the banks retrieve the worst, or just a general percentage, of old...

] You may be correct. I'd be suprised if anyone would really want to fake a 1924 6d .. catalogue states not much value in that date. A 1918 or 1922 like Antalon has linked, now those seem have some value.

Was sorting through an old stash of sixpences and found what I am sure is a fake 1924 sixpence. The obverse and reverse are WAY out of sink when compared to any other 6d, plus the details are odd scale compared to a real one. The details are well worn, but that looks to be deliberate rather...
