I really like the Morgans, much more than the peace dollars, gear design and size. Feels like money.

I was buying them in semi bulk (got to pick the nicer grades) but it's a very expensive way to stack silver, I was paying 1oz lunar prices for 2/3oz of silver.

S.Ohno: that 20 Sen is pretty special. I keep looking into the dragon yen but haven't found a cheap one. What's the size on that compared to the Yen?

Maybe I should trade some of my silver dollars in fit yen :)

Having never seen one of these available for sale before - I saw two for sale in two days!

One was offered for sale here on Silver Stackers, and this one pictured below which I bought from a dealer in Perth. It arrived today.

One of 200 One Ounce 1993 Australian Kookaburra silver bullion coins specially minted and presented to mark the official opening of the recommissioned Perth Mint and Perth Mint

    Exhibition on 8 December, 1993.

Yeah phrenzy I bout the morgan for my small numis collection. Now it consists of a bu mercury dime morgan dollar and offstrike penny xD i got the nonnums for the stack. When I liquidate my small stack there are a few special coins I keep. My nuims is mostly a sentimental collection. Which your observation of morgans is exactly right. Good example of numismatic value over spot or melt value. The 1921 p is worth roughly spot in ok condition if theres a buter. There usually is. Morgans were melted when a mine closed im fairly certain

This one is about the same size as a US quarter. The Meiji 3/4 1870/1871 years are bigger.
Catalog diameter is 24mm, and Japanese Wikipedia has "23.3333mm (as measured 24.09mm)" whatever that means.

And here is a real antique finish:

1893 Korea 1 yang, about the same size as the 20 sen.

This bizarre coin's design is based on the design done by a German in 1885, with two dragons and a glowing pearl.
You can see the original design on the 1888 "1 WARN" * coin for example.
The dragons got japified and one of them is clutching the pearl in its talons.
The coins were minted in Korea, but using machines and flans from Japan.

And Yuan Shikai (the guy on the "fat man" dollar) influenced the design,
by complaining about the country's name on the coin.
"Great Korea" was replaced by just "Korea" from this year until after the Sino-Japanese war.

    * Beware of counterfeits of Korean silver coins from this period that are larger than this one (1 whan, 5 yang etc.)

The silver eagle is pretty interesting, the inscriptions say:
Redeemable at current silver market value at silver eagle sales Inc. Walla walla wash.

I got a 1883 Liberty Head nickel, no cents, BU. It looks like it was minted in 2013, lol.
