Starts from $8.00, but if you would like it tracked and insured, then it increases exponentially outside of Canada, US, and the UK.

There's every chance that this could turn into a Timber Wolf type release - it had the same mintage of 1 million, sold out quickly at cheap bullion prices, now fetches $50-$55 USD on APMEX. They even have a category for milk spotted ones that are still being sold at $32.50 USD, well over release margins. Think they peaked at $80 or more.

First release possibly in a series, a "strong" animal, first coin in format, low premiums... they are selling very strongly.

I would expect a wholesale sellout in the next few weeks based on the anecdotal distributor demand to date.

    Not a chance.

The wolf's 1oz success was played off the prior

Half Ounce Silver Timber Wolf Canadian Bullion Coin

When the half ounce Silver Timber Wolf bullion coin was released, it became an instant classic. The silver coin is now considered more of a collector's coin, than a investment grade, bullion coin.

When the Royal Canadian Mint first released the silver coin, it had an asking price of $4.50, today it is hard to find the 1/2 oz. silver bullion coin for under $50.00.

The coin became so popular, the mint used the image of the 1oz. Timber Wolf for the first release in The Canadian Wildlife bullion coin series program.

    Mintage: 2006......106,800

But nice to see a low premium PM bullion product.

^ First real pic, thanks! Similar style to kooks and koalas, except the outer ring is not a proof finish.

Bravo. At least they acknowledge that there could be a problem with white spots, so they made it mostly matted. Very nice indeed. The spots will blend in well with this matte finish. heck, if the price is right, I may buy some!!

The kitco site states-"exclusive to kitco"
They are 2.75 ea over spot but you have to pay with a wire
so add about .50 per coin for the wire fee, shipping and ins.

I just asked APMEX via their chat and they said they will not be carrying it, so maybe kitco has the north american exclusive?

^ I just tried to buy a tube of 25 coins on kitco, but they require a minimum of $2,500 to check out :(

Dam I was hoping apmex would carry some later. Any ideas if provident, MCM, or any larger US dealers will carry these?

edit: anyone in the US down for a group buy?

I talked with Provident and they won't be carrying the Croc.

will these fit in a standard silver eagle capsule?
they are the same diameter, but the croc is listed thickness is at 4mm compared to the 3mm of the ASE.
can anyone confirm the thickness of 4mm?
