do you know what that box is about?

All I know is it was from the engineers brigade
WW II , had it valued at around $600-$700

If the triangle is yellow at the top right corner of the box it's the 2nd 1st machine gun batallion. It's q bit hard to see if it's white or yellow
I have a lot of that stuff from the 2nd 3rd machine gun battalion (my fathers unit)
Looks like an old medal case
How big is it?

It's at a mates shop as a display, ill take better pics tomorrow for you

The unpolished ones I use for gardening and I keep one in the boot of the car when I go off roading or camping, better hand position than an axe, less fatigue on the wrist. I have one polished one, it serves very little use but they don't make the unpolished ones in the size I wanted.

The rest were ordered by members of the local martial arts clubs, it sounds like most of them will end up in display cabinets, a few want to practice the weapon style. Some bought them and now have no idea what they intend to do with them. I have given a few away as presents as well.

But they serve very little purpose unless you want to chop or stab something.
