Be aware that any needle fiend may be a carrier of a blood-borne disease. Avoid situations where you get it on you.

Possibly the worst advice I have ever come across. Wasn't a Queensland senior police officer was it? I have heard about them.

Not QLD but did do most of his time in Griffith NSW. Known MOD area and he got out from there in the mid 1980's just as the huge inquest went through the town.
 
Not sure how this line of discussion contributes to Kawa's situation.

Qld police WILL be reading this thread. Would be nice if they could focus on the investigation without all of this internet chatter crap about beating up or intruders or shooting people.

Yeah apologies to GP and Kawa.

I am sure that sort of advice was given a long time ago and is no longer the sort of thing the police give out to people nowadays.

Don't want to pollute the post further, but just wanted to add the bleeding obvious. Surely there can be some serious cross checking going on between all the victims now. Are the victims able to give GP permission to view their PM inboxes (assuming this information is not encrypted)?

Unless of course the thieving dogs have gleaned their targets other than this forum (meetups, etc.). Surely there has to be something solid to go on.

I've seen lot's of new members looking to sell - Is it time to start looking at identity checks for trades?
 
With the number of thefts now there has to be some common thread if they are all related. The more thefts there are the chances of them being caught has to increase. They have to be getting rid of it somewhere, if they can not get rid of stuff then it has no value. Surely there is a list of likely places this stuff is going to show up?

The other thing is there must be a list of known thieves that know how to do this stuff, disabling alarms, cutting into safes etc can't be a common skill set.

Anyone who keeps anything at home now must be seeing it as a bad idea.

Does anyone have links to all the breakin threads?

We can't make this message any clearer - storing PMs at home in a safe is NOT secure, and is the *leading* cause of bullion loss by members on this forum in the last 5 years. The value stolen from home safes outnumbers reported holdups etc by 10:1.

This goes to show that these size/rated safes can be broken into but im pretty sure that neighbours will hear the sledgehammer and big wheel grinder going...

Youd be better off hiding it places no one would ever look. A safe probably isnt one of those. That being said silver takes up a lot of space.

Something funny about qld lots of robberies and people wanting to sell gold under spot. QLD is in need of a gold buyer and storage facility.
 
What are peoples recommendations for a off site storage, who with ? companies please and prices if you know them?

Im referring for under 150 ounces of silver.
