Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

I saw this guy getting interviewed on the keiser report, it's a good system

Edit actually totally different group, one I was thinking you pay a membership to guys who created a program that front runs the front runners, and puts % of gains back into startups, will have to find the link

This is now on Android. Not sure about Australian availability yet.

It's not for daytrading though unless you keep a decent cash buffer in there - T+3 settlement before you can reinvest.

It won't make much of a difference, they probably just want to gauge how many people are on the hype train :P

They have just announced Robinhood Instant - no more 3 day waiting for deposits or proceeds of sales to clear before being able to re-invest. Again, there's a waitlist you can get bumped up if you can refer someone.

My signup link is http://tinyurl.com/zt75xyp - there's no affiliate commissions etc, I just get bumped up a waitlist for the new feature set if you sign up via that link the first time and open an account.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL THEY HURRY UP WITH THIS AUSTRALIAN LAUNCH.

I'm hoping this will eventually translate into some serious competition for the super industry.

Just saw on their blog that they are now open to Chinese residents for US listed stocks. Well done straya, a communist country with capital controls is proving to be easier to access

Ask Uber how our government feels about disrupting the status quo using technology.

Whats the go with money in my account but not invested. It says they invest it and keep the interest.

What happens if they go under while my un-invested money is in their cash management account?

The members that have been using it are in the US, still waiting for it it launch in Australia :(
