Survey..whom prefers 3 x 10oz over 1kg Silver?

Lol.. nice..

it needs to be said this topic is very much dependent on personal circumstance.. if (secured) space is an issue as it is for me then my post is relevant..

I agreed with an above point that when you start out usually you have not yet formulated a plan so tend to buy a mixture..i think this is a healthy stage of trail and error before settling on preferred silver.. once you finally settle on a favoured size or shape it usually means selling the silver that is no longer fits into this position.

I think Sammy Silver did it best focusing on one type of silver and not getting stuck in the quagmire that is semi numismatic bullion .. its a whole lot of time and energy chasing gains but ultimately putting in much more time and energy and increasing the difficulty of selling it at the other end and minimising downside potential.

1for1

There are so many arguments for and against each particular form - so a bit of diversity doesn't hurt.

I generally stack low premium bars and then pick up kooks and lunars at new issue. It seems like the most liquid + commonly traded forms on this forum are PM 10oz bars, PM or PAMP kilo bars and round 50s. Having something that is pretty easy snapped up in a private sale is convenient. That's what I like to focus on.

10oz . people can afford them. if u sell your not selling more than u want to sell. Metals are weighted in oz and sold in oz, i dont like this "32.15"

in addition to my early comment on preferred 10ozers......

we dont know exactly how low spot can go during the downtrend.

by splitting the purchase in 3 lots, you may end up buying at better price (after DCA), rather than one purchase of 1kg.

my 2cents.

well true, but it can go the other way and go up, so you feel you lost out as you had the money to buy 1kg when cheaper.
another thing is shipping, 3 x postage for 10 oz instead of one.

Having said that, I made an order last week I was happy with, made the exact same order this morning and it was $150 cheaper.
if that same thing happens next week i'll be even more happy and wouldn't regret the first purchase that by then would be $300 more.
