Survey..whom prefers 3 x 10oz over 1kg Silver?

Just after you thoughts

Whom prefers to buy 3 x 10oz or the 1kg?

Obviously most silver for your buck is 1kg and gain few extra ozs

But that means I have to wait longer to get my silver fix

Have a few 10oz stackers, now time to buy few of the bigger 1kg stacker brothers

This forum should have come with a health warning...... May Cause Addiction......

My wife thinks I have a problem........ But she likes coins ie libertads and ASE, but for me nothing beats holding 100oz Silver in ones hand, thankyou SMSF
 
if bars are your thing then 1 kg boring bars are a good choice.
10z bars are over rated, little useless things, may aswell get 10oz coins which look great and much more interesting.
1 kg coins are incredible, they blow the socks off anyone that see's them, a 1 kg bar is just a bar.

I think a lot of newer stackers get the silver for silver bug first, then evolve into more specific stacking.
so putting more thought into the start of your stack will mean your stack will more likely be what your going to want it to be in a couple years time.
 
I have access to 25oz loaf bar locally so i buy those instead of a kilo bar. Its $200 less so i cam get one sooner than a kilo. PLus 4 will make an even 100 oz

Monarch precious metals poured loaf bar. They also have a kilo, 50 and 100oz. I prefer the feel and fondling factor of poured over minted cast or pressed bars.
 
If the money comes from your wife, buy libertads and ASE.
If it's yours, buy 100oz.
It's that simple! :D
 
I only collect 1/3 ounce fifty cent pieces. But if I were to change my paradigm, I'd stack equal value of 1, 10 and kilo bars.
 
I don't own any kilo bars but I am a bit dissapointed with the 10oz bars, they just don't feel substantial enough.

I have both Kilo and 10 oz coins and any additional premium I paid above the bar cost I will be able to recoup plus a bit extra for the 'rareness' of the design (all are Lunar Dragons).

The only shape bar I am really after is one that looks like...

They are 100 oz so about 3kg.
 
Bars only.. Big coins are a novelty and not practical to secure or stack... The plastic alone will be enough to put you off unless you have a walk in safe pm novelty oversized coins are a poor choice... Maybe one or two for a Convo piece,!

Get low premium 10oz and kilo bars - both... I am focusing on 10ozers the last few years but went hard on kilos back in the noughties...

Me personally... I am selling and trading ALL my capsules coins as they are far to bulky .. Maybe OK if your 1 yr into to stacking with pocket money from mum but given how cheap silver is you will run out of space and likely later decide protecting your stack means being able to fit it into a safe

Silver bars! Any form of gold and plat, high grade gemstones and crypto as intangible like bank savings
 
I have definitley given up on anything with a Certificate of Authenticity and Clamshell box.

I can live with a bit of capsule because it doesn't take up much room and stops the pretty picture from getting scratched and covered in fingerprints but the box takes up way too much space.

I still come across sterling offerings close to spot and I can't get used to the idea of chucking the box out, someone out there might pay a few cents extra to get hold of the coin in its original packaging!
 
Started off buying anything and everything... Now slowly working my main stack into just KG's, 10's, 50cents and the rest into Lunars for a bit of speculation.

But if it's a decision between the two, 3x10oz bars for the simple fact that more people would have $250 cash to spare and less would have $750. Meaning I can sell one bar if I only need a small bit of cash, better divisibility I suppose. In saying that, I've never had a problem selling KG's.

Yes of course, we store our precious metal in a 20 kg safe, small safes are sooo easy. For everyone! :D
