Rare, Collectable and Vintage Gold Bars.

Nice odd weight bars. Does anyone have an extra piece to spare to make an ounce..?

Acquired this clean and elegant looking bar some time back. Have got no idea about the financial institution G.. Z.. marked on the bar, except that it is German. Made by Argor Heraeus and vintage :)

Some I have a few of, a couple are one offs. The LCS has thrown up a few odd balls lately, I'm happy to have them at essentially normal bar prices. Hoping there's more on offer so I'll be checking back in.

* Bar was part of a gold nugget/coin set and is low on gold purity.
** Book sourced separately.

I really really badly wish I could say this one was mine...the cutest little symmetrical cooling rings on the outside.

If anyone knows when they changed styles (putting the "9999" purity below "GOLD") and a few other small touches it would be cool.

Also, anyone know anything about the abc half oz gold rounds? Saw one in a shop and I'd never heard of or seen one before.

I thought I was the first with a deak international australia 1oz but there's another a few pages left. Still a nice pickup at normal bullion prices. One day I'll trade in all my vintage and oddball pieces for some plain old bullion with a little more weight. For now I enjoy the hunt!

Not sure I'd want to get rid of the Deak bar though. What a history!
