with utility prices in a bubble and bank interest rates as low as they are i would say most people need more money than they are presently getting, be they waged or on centrelink benefits (age pension, dsp, newstart, students, single mums etc)
taxpayers should never whine, because the money given to people in need gets spent in the economy
i would say there are very few people these days who simply treat their benefits as a handout, for nothing, of course, if they do that is their free choice, bust most, you would find, would be delighted not to be in such a situation if that were the case, and those who dont think that way just havent woken up yet and realised that, to get anywhere in life, you have to put in some effort
