If everyone dumps them now they wont be worth much over issue price plus post.

Will also put downward pressure on the uncardeds.

Notice I said some, and not all. assuming a 15% ebay fee, and buyer pays for postage. A sale price of $100 would be $25 profit. a 4.16% profit within a week. To me that seems good.

But obviously the value of these should increase with time, people may be after 100% returns, but willing to wait 1-3 years

eBay fee for coins is now only 6% :).

You sure I'm pretty sure I'm still pay 9.9

This.

I would recommend at least waiting until this auction is finished to see what the final price is.

Once it ends I will provide as much info as I can to give indication of demand, e.g. how many where bidding above what price, etc.

Number of watchers is up to 28.
How do you know the number of watchers? I thought in the public ebay arena we can only see visits, bids (sans ID), number of unique bids...
Inside info? :P

Well I am one of those 28 watchers and have no intention to bid

Good luck to all but if everybody here bought multiples to flip, who exactly are you going to be flipping to ?

Well I did bid, but maxed out at 50 AUD.

Cos that's how much I value the coin at. :P

Not sure about Australia, but eBay North America has standard fees at 10%, if you have a store, previously it was 7%, it's now dropped to 6% as of June 28.

1. People in Aus who didn't buy them from the Perth Mint because they don't wish to deal with the Perth Mint.
2. People in Aus who didn't buy them from the Perth Mint because they were too slow/didn't see them for sale which was only for 1 day.
3. People overseas who tried to buy them from the Perth Mint but were not allowed to buy....Aussie sales only for the cards.
4. People overseas who have bought the SH but want both carded and uncarded types and are willing to pay a premium to get them.
5. People overseas who haven't bought the uncarded because they only want to get the rarer variety and are willing to pay a premium to get them.
6. Modern Numismatists (hope that's the right term) collecting the first coin of a new series.
7. People who like Horseys.
8. Other flippers.

These same buyers will be around next week as well as this time next year.

9. People like volrathy who wanted to buy one but didn't have the necessary funds at the time.

These same buyers will be around next week as well as this time next year, except for maybe volrathy, who might get to pick one up sooner rather than later.

Edited to include the currently cash-strapped.

Hahaha. :D :D

Others are cleverly waiting before putting their auctions up. :) More auctions will for sure drive the prices down.

Although if you look for example Monaco 2013 20 UN anniversary Euro coin there are many auctions, but that doesn't affect price much. :)
