Do you guys think that something like the above is a good idea, or would you prefer something with the Perth Mint mark? If so I can try to commission a case from Perth.

Meh.. just another poor investment (in terms of chances of sucess).. buy 2oz of 999 instead.. spots already GIFT low.

Don't know about SS, but on RFD/in Canada, I can name one of the most recent ones being the Glass Butterfly coin with the issue price being $149, and me selling most of my stock for $299 on ebay(this is personal stock, not what I got as a dealer)
chrissilver said:Everyone keeps saying mintage is 1000 for these and 9000 for the others. But both coins have a mintage of 10,000.
Definition of mintage: Noun
The number of copies issued of a particular coin.
They are both the same coin, minted from the same mint, just only 1000 of them come in a blister card. The blister pack carded coin doesn't become a different coin simply because of it's packaging.

A commissioned case would be awesome, makes it offical. But I don't know if the costs in that are reasonable, might end up expensive. Also a light wood coloured box would be better than a dark? For some reason I just have a feeling that light wood goes better with horses.

On the other hand, I have a bad feeling that some people are gonna get burned real bad.
