Well... It was an awesome meeting .... I can confirm that there are 3 smidgeons in the wild. They are all unique, but there was one that is designated as the first smidgeon.

Essentially a kilogram is exactly a smidgeon over 32 ounces.

Lifted from the official launch notes:

Smidgeon (n.)

Unit of mass, defined as the shortfall between 32 ounces and a kilogram.

The troy smidgeon is equivalent to 0.151 of a troy ounce or 4.697 grams.

The smidgeons on display are prototypes only and do not weigh a full troy smidgeon.

The error in weights are most likely due to the incorrect internal adoption of the Avoirdupois system.

These rare prototypes are colloquially refereed to as “cooking smidgeons”.
