New Bullion Sizes to Premier at Silver Stackers Sydney - 23rd October

I'll take a guess...

Something you can keep (hold)
Something you can spend (real money)
Possibly not legal (wouldn't meet casino playing card standards)

Another clue perhaps, you said you were "playing with the prototypes this morning"

1 oz minted playing cards, 52 cards to collect.
All beautifully enscribed with heavy patterns and a famous few words from Kenny Rogers on the back?
"You've got to know when to hold em"

Perth Mint guaranteed to run with this idea within months.
Chinese Privvy version as well of course.

Well... It was an awesome meeting .... I can confirm that there are 3 smidgeons in the wild. They are all unique, but there was one that is designated as the first smidgeon.

Here they are --> Hot off the press.

The top right smidgeon is officially smidgeon #1. Congratulations to the bidder.

Thanks go out to Janie and the team at ABC Bullion for hosting the event.

There is something devilishly satisfying, having previously been a (lower-case r) rival bullion dealer, about selling your own bullion inside the ABC offices.

Thanks also to John, Bron, Terina, Greg and the rest of the team.

Interesting. It almost looks like you could arrange them into a shape like a puzzle. So what does one smidgeon weigh in grams?

Essentially a kilogram is exactly a smidgeon over 32 ounces.

Lifted from the official launch notes:

Smidgeon (n.)

Unit of mass, defined as the shortfall between 32 ounces and a kilogram.

The troy smidgeon is equivalent to 0.151 of a troy ounce or 4.697 grams.

The smidgeons on display are prototypes only and do not weigh a full troy smidgeon.

The error in weights are most likely due to the incorrect internal adoption of the Avoirdupois system.

These rare prototypes are colloquially refereed to as “cooking smidgeons”.
