New 2oz Scottsdale round

Scottsdale really do make some nice items. It would be good if they had more legal tender contracts for smaller countries.

Scotts silver improved so much lately..love their button, the prey, hand pour, now 2oz n 100gr HR :)
Sexy....make me wet

There have been widespread quality issues with many of their minted coins & rounds, like scratches & such.

Their forte is more of the cast & poured realm.

If you've never seen their whole range of products, check out their US eBay store. They change up their selection as the weeks & months go by. Sometimes prices are better there than their site. They also offer/don't offer certain products at both (e.g., no Hand-Poured Bar on eBay lately, but currently at their main site).

Alas, they only ship within the US for eBay auctions. Not sure if they have an AUS eBay store, though I believe they ship to many countries via orders at their main site, if something's not carried in your country.

Stuff that I like, from firsthand experience, in no particular order: 5-oz Button, 100-gram Cast Bar, 10-oz "Shiny" Bar, 10-oz Hand-Poured Bar, 5-oz Tombstone (for the novelty effect), 5-oz Prey Bar (though the quality could be a little better) & the 1-oz Omnia Round (though again, quality; scratches).

Thinking of picking up a 10-oz Reserve Bar someday, too.

Obviously also like the new Stacker Rounds, at least from photos/video. Hopefully good quality.

Have they really registered the word 'Stacker'?

Does that mean if I call myself a stacker I have to pay them a royalty fee?

I never did bother to look into that sort of thing but I have thought it numerous times.

They have, about 4 years ago- http://trademarks.justia.com/779/62/stacker-77962120.html

It's only for silver bullion so you can continue calling yourself a stacker without worry.

Cheers, one less thing to worry about.

I love the way that the 3 different size rounds all lock/stack into each other.

I might lock/stack mine once or twice, just to see. But I'm not going to continuously stack/unstack them.

You see, I'm shooting for those high grades when I get 'em slabbed.. ;)

At this point, none of the 'Proper' grading companies will grade rounds. No matter how nice.

Only legal tender items are really looked at.

This is why you've never seen slabbed XAG coins.

This may change in the future.

Was only half-joking..

But would like to preserve them as much as possible, without going *too* overboard & over-protective.

Gotta have some fun & play with them sometimes! :D

And yes, PCGS & NGC already grade some non-tender exonumia / medals.

Some really cool stuff in that area, but typically well above my budget. Maybe someday.
