I was sick of missing the blockchain train and have been keeping my layman's eye on a few charts for many months. I have had diamond hands withost my Pm's and am always interested in diversification

Back on 15th March I decided to have a little flutter on ETH which appeared to me might make a breakout.

I am normally wrong so only put in what I could afford, a fairly small amount. It's currently up 117% which I am satisfied with just hope it doesn't crash too soon lol

I have avoided staking until I learn more about it.

Any old hands have suggestions/advice on staking please?

I currently use Coinbase, should I consider other platforms?

Apologies if this should have been posted elsewhere. Dealing with chronic pain ATM and running on 4 hours sleep for 3 days

I’ve experienced euphoria and misery in staking.
Euphoria:
Super high returns, I’m talking 40% plus fixed in one month terms, just keep rolling it over.
Misery:
When a crash is happening and it happens fast.
You can break from staking anytime and forfeit all gains for that term BUT the process takes 24hrs-48hrs (everyone is trying to get out) and by the time you receive your crypto the market has dumped, effectively losing all the gains from previous staking and your crypto is worth much less than you originally purchased it for, you’re left holding the bag for another few years waiting for price recovery

It’s a double edged sword.

What I’ve learnt from crypto investing.
I can’t pick the top or the bottom.
Don’t get greedy
It’s not an investment, it’s gambling, highly speculative.
Be as realistic as you possibly can with possible outcomes, good AND bad before committing
Exit strategy, for me, I pick a % gain I’m happy with and I’m out, no questions asked.
Wait for the crash and it will happen, then decide when to jump back in. It’s not a bad way to make a easy 200-300% every couple of years.
So far, so good.

@BlackSheep, congratulations on your returns firstly.

I stake on whatever wallet/exchange my alts are stored on. I don't stake 99.9% (BTC) of my stash for fear of losing them if the exchange is compromised and because my general strategy is one of capital gain rather than income producing at the moment so nearly all of my holdings are in cold storage.

I've no experience with Coinbase.

As far as chronic pain goes I think CBD/THC is beneficial, I also think putting load on your body is beneficial ie hitting the tin in gym with a program and I think stretching is a complete waste of time unless you enjoy the feeling it provides. My level of chronic pain in the past has not kept me sleepless mind you.

Thank you, really appreciate feedback and suggestions :)

Any suggestions for popular wallets/platforms I should consider?

I recently commenced treatment involving CBD and THC products. It has proved far more beneficial than the crap my GP had been prescribing, and far less damaging to my body :) I am in the midst of setting up a new mining claim, trust me I am "using it" so I don't lose it and am up before first light and end the day tired but satisfied. Summer here gets crazy hot, new off grid 24v LiFePO4 power system installed next week, in summer I'll be inside working out in the aircon to get buff (well give it a red hot try) anyway lol
