I think we tapped $17.01. I think the oil is a win win no matter how it moves as long as it keeps moving and doesn't roll slightly higher and then sideways. If it goes back up it brings commodities with it across the board and if it drops much more people get antsy about energy equities (apparently that's part of what's happening now). Plus, low prices mean deflation which means no rate hike.

It will be interesting if it can hold the line cone close if market Friday. It's a long weekend in the states Monday which means that whatever the comex closes at will be a pretty strong indicator of where people are at on PMs. $1250 is the target but if it can close strong over $1250 and the rest of today and tomorrow is shaky on the equities markets it could be the start of something.

I think the confusion and uneasiness in the market is doing more damage than the mildly bad reports and FX numbers. Volatility is up and so is gold.

It is Friday & the day after the 15th, i.e., paycheck time, after all.

Retail muppets need to buy their physical at temporarily-inflated prices over the weekend, then the big boys will smack it back down when it re-opens next week..

Anyone know what time the ecb announcement is australian time? I think I'll either wake up with silver and gold down 2% or up 7.5% and rising. We are living in interesting times.
