Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk launched the Queensland - You’re Good to Go – campaign over the weekend encouraging Queenslanders to go and explore their own state.
“We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Now’s the time to get out and about and experience it.”
The state borders still remain closed at this stage, however, this campaign hopes to lure the 3.2 million Queenslanders who holiday interstate and overseas every year, spending nearly $10 billion, to explore their own backyard.

Queensland’s Auditor-General has warned the Palaszczuk government to keep its skyrocketing borrowings “sustainable” and be more transparent about its plan to pay down debt, as it struggles to recover from the pandemic.
Treasurer Cameron Dick in December confirmed total government debt would hit $130bn by 2023-24, with borrowings shooting up $12.2bn to $115bn in 2019-20.
Mr Worrall said the state’s net worth — the difference between total assets and total liabilities — fell by $8.6bn last financial year, and noted the government had abandoned its fiscal principle to keep debt sustainable by reducing its relative debt burden.
Mr Worrall also challenged the government to introduce a statutory deadline for publishing its financial statements, after it released only its consolidated whole-of-government reports after the October 31 state election.
