Is this new PM Xmas coin worth buying?

the baby dragon was nice last year, made nice gift for the kids. What do we get this year, an egg?

That is a messed up looking coin.
My christmas gifts will look like this http://www.coin-rare.com/christmas-round.aspx will work out cheaper even if i buy one coin when you include the $50 flat rate shipping charge on orders under to $1000.
Sorry Perth Mint but thats another over priced fuggly design and more of my dollars being spent overseas.

IT NASTY! Wait til New Years and Buy Some Expensive rockets if you want to spend some bucks and see them go up in smoke!! Or buy some of the other poor investments PM specialise in.

Like Driving a New car out of the lot.. hope you love that NEW CAR SMELL

1for1

Frosty snow flakes will be a bit out of place in queensland and I am not such a fan of inclusions in coins.

They could at least have put a loop on it so you could hang it off a Christmas tree, will have to get Spannermonkey and his soldering iron out!

The theme doesn't even represent the right season for Australian Christmas :(

Yeah, it would be more accurate if there were floods, bushfires and hoards of drunken cricket spectators.

Just when you think the PM can't come up with a worse design (than the last bad one that you can remember), they spring out and surprise you !!!

Anyone remember the China/Austr friendship coin? ummmm.

Prefer these for gift rather than Perth mint...if comparing, PM's too hyper super dupper over priced.

I think it also shows who they cater for aswell & it clearly shows its not australia

Kooks and Koalas not Aussie enough? Way cheaper than these for Xmas presents if you're into giving coins as gifts.

Why should every Perth Mint product only have appeal to Aussies? If we made up more than 0.5% of the world's population I could understand. From a business point of view it makes perfect sense to try to appeal to as many potential customers as possible.

I understand their financial motivation . but being an aussie mint you would think they would make something a bit aussie . To me its. like the canadian mint putting a beach with surfers on their xmas round. Im sure the amount of perth mint collectors world wide would still buy it if it had an australian flavour that is eveident in the amount of kook & koalas they sell

Most of the aussie Xmas cards I see are all snowflakes and other non-aussie relevant themes. Except for kangaroos wearing santa hats, that really brings out the festive spirit in me.

Dont see many depicting shrimps on the barbie and a bottle of VB.
