As it was my first order the postage was free! Right up until the time I paid, then it appeared on the Paypal receipt, so somewhere between ordering and getting the receipt the postage crept back unannounced.

email them and ask for postage back - I did and got a nice reply saying she was crediting the postage back

I cant believe how many of you still get sucked in by the mint. These coins are horse shit. Some may make a quick buck selling to suckers who dont know jack, but most will get stuck with this crap. If you like looking at them and your not doing as an investment, fair enough.

Real serious stackers and investors don't touch this shyte. Bullion bars and coins are the real go. 1oz coins or below only IMHO.

While Silver isn't doing anything of note I think numis can make you more money if you play your cards right. I like the Berlin dragon, proof 1oz and the high relief for this reason but forget the rest of them (including bullion dragons).

Not entirely true, the gilded coins have no love at the moment.

The gilded dragon does look quite nice (the gilded Taku looks great) but the gilded lunar series itself doesn't seem to be getting any love. My local post office is out of gilded dragons but still has gilded rabbits in the display.

I won't be getting the rest of the series though.

Absolutely my family will be getting 1 each and yes I will flip. My opinion on these coins is that I like them and want to keep one for my own collection. If by flipping a few I can get one or two for free then why wouldn't I? It's the same with the High Relief. If I want them I will be able to buy up to 25 at issue price (I don't want to say where from so don't ask). I'll probably end up getting between 5 and 10 selling a few on eBay and keeping 1 or 2.

I estimate that the High Reliefs will sell for between $200 and $300 on eBay meaning that after fees I will make about a 60 - 100 profit (then again they may not which is why I don't want to take a risk on all 25). Sell four of them at even 50 profit and the two in my collection cost nothing. This is the advantage I have by being in WA. I'm not in the coin business but if I was I would call being in WA a competitive advantage. I would be a fool to not take advantage of my proximity to the mint.

No ANDA dragons for me. What a debacle - will give more details when I get home. Joke of a Perth mint.

Very sorry to hear that, but not surprised!

Last Brisbane ANDA was held in some Table Tennis Hall. Venue was alright but there was a hockey tournament on next door and not a spare car park for miles. I had a 10-15 minute walk to get there from where I abandoned the car. They are holding it in the same place again this year despite all the complaints.
