A solid 999 fine silver ingot from the Perth Mint - sold initially as a souvenir, now a collectible in itself and an investment!
The Perth Mint struck 1ozt silver ingots for sale to tourists and other visitors to the Perth Mint from the late 1980's through the 1990's. These impressive medallions were made of one ounce of pure silver, and as you can see from the images, were struck to their exacting proof standards.
The designs on these medallions feature an attractive frosted relief, while the backgrounds feature the same mirrored finish that the Perth Mint's proof coins are now world famous for.
Each ingot / medallion is housed in a custom faux leather presentation case (emblazoned with the Perth Mint logo).
