When the greeks were making coins they used clay molds. They made wax disks the size of the coins, attached them to a sprue and then covered the lot in clay. Baked it and then poured what was left of the wax out. Poured metal into the void and then smacked out the coins from the clay mold.

I don't suppose you can get high temperature silicone molds can you? That would make life too easy!
