Hand pours

They do look very nice and the stamps make the bars. Did you buys these from him or just selling them on his behalf?
 
I keep these in stock along with other handpoured ingots. The Rodebaugh are one of my very favourites. The only one I am missing from my collection is the first pour but that will come my way one day, its up there in my got to have list. : )
 
Awesome, I think there very nice too. Maybe once I have a few made you might like those enough to stock. I have 2 new molds, one being 4oz kitkat style and the other 5oz and up but a different shape that I have only seen made by one company

It is a outfit that holds off-road 4x4 events for wounded soldiers and their families.

One will be auctioned off at BS this weekend. Plan to make up to 20 more for next month. I get silver donations, so that i am able to donate every dollar raised to the charity.

They look cool, better each time! Did you ever try the flower pot kiln?

I reckon if I couldn't get the weight right I would stamp .999 and the exact grammage (is that even a word?) on the back and sell or trade at that weight.

You guys are all making some good art.

Thanks mate, nah I havent made my flower pot furnace yet but I almost have what I need together.

All you need to get the weight right is a good electronic scale and the ability to make sure everything your melting is pour into the mold.
I use graphite molds and have found them easy to use.

People do that will bars they pour so it's not uncommon however I want to make a name for what I'm doing in hope that my little hobby might turn into something more, but I'm not overly fussed as I get enjoyment out of making them.

If you want my advise be very careful when doing this as you will need to think about safety.

I'll more than likely post a video on here soon so you have a better idea

Hi Rodebaugh. Great looking bars. Would I be correct in assuming you use a CNC engraver as opposed to stamp to mark your bars?
 
Okay! How do you get the different mat finish upon the inside the stamped surface of the bar? Acid?

Good question. Highly polished bars stamped with a matt surface stamp. Kind of like how proof coins have frosted devices with mirror fields.
 
Here are some of the bars customised for one of the buyers. There pretty shinny that you can see the rusted shed roof lol

How much would it cost to get the setup required to produce these hand pours?
These look very interesting and I'd love to get started with this!
 
It really depends on what size you want to make and how many. It's cost over $200 easy on the gear and then more for the silver. You also need a good place to do it as we'll.
