Boyo said:I found this just a little while ago. 1786 Proclamation coin. The seller has 3 more proclamation coins listed .The photos are terrible..which prompted me to ask the seller if they were genuine.
His quick reply was to ask me not to bid on them ,if unsure...which I will certainly do
However ,could be bargains up for grabs...

Boyo said:The seller has said very little regarding the items listed. I would have thought that an owner of an auction house would ,at least try to describe his items much better. Can you say professionalism? SP?
In the meantime,I have had some contact with the lister..he tells me he will "try " and put up some better photos.
Meanwhile ..last I looked his listings were being underwhelmed with bids![]()
So the 2002 Commonwealth Games coin was truly tri-metal but the 2006 only had a gold-plated centre (and copper edge)?trew said:Surprised to see a shifty listing from is wright sydney
They have a 2006 commonwealth games trimetal coin that they are claiming has 7.8 grams of gold in the middle
They even went to the trouble of photographing the page from the McDonald's catalog that states this
But the McDonald's book is wrong on this one - the trimetal coin is all silver.
That is clear in the description on the certificate, which they do not show in the listing :/
I've almost gotten burnt on this in the past myself - lucky I checked the cert before buying at the time
