Any medal recommendation for appreciation potential?

Ideally you should join the medal club in China. There you learn about the latest development, and also buying at special member price.

Generally, it is said that medal with mintage between 500 - 3000 have the good potential for price appreciation.

Look for lunar series, from official Mint. Also the four great classical novels.

Medal collectors are very tough in terms of the design and quality. Choose the one with striking details. Also pay attention to the medal designed by famous engraver, eg, , , and other well known engravers.

Hi Silverfever,

Link - http://www.jibi.net/News/dtzrhlc/13_31_3_95.htm

Not sure if they accept foreign membership. Best if you can find a friend in China.

These copper medal is pretty much a China dominated market at the moment. It is important to learn the ins and outs of this market from inside the China.

btw, any ideas roughly how much to NGC grade the panda 91 medal?

If i remember correctly ngc has a special $16.50 if grading at least 5 medals add $10/medal if you want it Ncs conserved . Add around $10-$20 for oversize holder.

It is worth getting it slabbed because from completed ebay auctions, raw is going for $120s and graded is going for double that around $220-$250

Btw I just got one directly from luckmoneyro for $110.
