I started a thread off yesterday as I had absolutely no idea if my Australian Koala was real silver or not (ebay seller). After a few calculations and reviewing the seller further it is correct. Silly Perth Mint showing 4mm when it's actually 2.7!
Anyway... Today I received my second coin & my scales!
The thickness was just over 3mm just to note.
I'm really happy with the basic equipment I now have. Reading posts on here offers me security that my investment is worth while and in the long term could quite possibly multiply (who knows). Either way... it will buy the same jeans today in 20 years time at worst.
I'm starting off in silver to learn more about it, get some experience in it before I try and offer a 1/10 split between silver and gold with my physical investment. Maybe in the future i'll make the fraction smaller but to get a solid stock in first would be very beneficial.
