Is there anyplace cheaper than goldmart on the 2013 ASE? On a side note, there is a mini search available at goldshark for those who may not know.

Don't buy ASEs from Goldmart. They have been sending out crap ASEs and blaming it on the mint. Fortunately for me it was only 9 coins each on two separate orders. All of them were defective.

I would buy my A.S.E.'s from the US Mint. Even if it cost more, You'll know you'll get as perfect as it gets from them.:)
That's just crazy. It would cost a lot more and there's absolutely no guarantee that you'll get perfect coins. It's just bullion.

GoldMart, Provident & Apmex are the 3 online dealers I'd buy them from.

Wow dccpa I hate to hear that. I sprung for a 20 coin tube! The website says brand new. Did you return yours, any hassle doing so?

I complained and stated that they should not have sent the coins out. They just blamed it on the mint and left it at that. It wasn't worth my time to keep pursuing the matter. You would have thought that they would have returned the coins to their supplier instead of ticking off customers. But in the last year, low quality coins seem to be getting very common. Glad I bought most of mine in 2007-2010.

Of all the dealers who have sent me damaged/defective coins, Tulving (AGEs), Goldmart (ASEs & CWL Pronghorn Antelope), Gainesville (NZ gold coins), Apmex (ATBs) & Provident (OPM bar - gold & tiger bars - silver), only Apmex was willing to take the coins back. And even then, Apmex kept my money for about a month after they got the coins back.

If the premium difference is not too much, I give my business to Apmex. Since the other dealers have no loyalty to me, I have no loyalty to them. Fortunately, with the exception of the 2014 lunar horse coins and older PM gold coins that come my way, I am pretty much done buying.

Surprised to hear about the bad news ASEs from Goldmart. Coincidentally, I just got 31 ASEs from them last week and none of the coins had any damage at all.

On the other hand--I got some nasty beat-up 2013 CSMs from them back in January, but I also got some more CSMs that were undamaged and good-looking as CSMs get from them after that. Last year, I got Philharmonics a couple times from them that were literally perfect. In fact, all the coins I got from them last year were really OK. The only bad news coins they ever sent me was the first batch of CSMs I got early this year.

I guess it's always a crapshoot with low-premium bullion but overall, I haven't done badly with Goldmart and I'll go back to them.
