very interesting coins! i like them but they have a huge premium for me. The thing is that unfortunately in europe if you where to sell them you would be lucky to get spot for them of course there is always ebay and such...

I think what drive the coin set is the fact that it's only 1500 mintage compare to the individual coins.

the mintage of the coins is 6500 each. The mintage of the special packaging (i.e. the transporter) for the 2 coins set is 1500.

And that what I was referring to. although the coins with the special packaging and the individual coin looks the same and share the 6500 (combined) mintage, the 1500 of the transporter make it unique. As you can see, the other 5000 individual coins are available else where.
 
It seems that the single Enterprise NCC -1701 coin is sold out at Perth Mint and already started to increase their value. Offers for that one are much less than for Kirk coins.
 
Once again silverflash thanks for posting the links to these. I didn't expect to see them so soon. I'm a little disappointed that the second set comes in the same transporter as the first set. I was going to try to collect all five sets but now I may just go after all 10 coins. I'm not for sure...

well if you can get the transporter set for issue price then its not much different then buying the 2 singles price wise, but a big difference mintage wise, well the coins are the same, eh , just get 1 of 1500 transporters.

You're right! I want all five transporters!! The value of having all 5 sets could end up being worth a nice premium IMHO. :)
