A NEW SERIES IS COMING VERY SOON...

Talking like that about ur mom, donot say much about you, you keep asking who i work for, i said ask ur mom, now where it says, anything about "doing" ahhh and then telling me to grow up, what has this world come to, by the way what the old saying is, ahhh "old is Gold". Also spend some of the money you made on Lunar Skulls to see a doctor, so you donot have those thoughts of people "doing" ur mom, that poor old lady, God bless her.

Now , Now gentlemen, lets get back on topic here.
I dont care much for this new coin its ok but not for me, not for the price tag, but hopefully they do well with it. I do like the looks so far of the lunar skull but have to see it in person , I also like the Gods of Olympus series !
see everyone can have an opinion....

On the topic now, i think they are good looking coins, i think they will do fine, i am not expert on anatomy , but it looks good to the eyes, if the high relief is good on coin, it will look very good in hand, will make it really pop, i buy coins because i like the design, not because they are going to go up in value, if value was the only factor then i am in the wrong hobby, i have Perth and Canadian mint coins, i bet most of them are selling below the price i paid for them.
Point i am trying to make is buy what you like.

True, I agree zeeman you should buy what you like.
I enjoy the art work, but I also treat it as my 401k.
It's an investment that I will eventually flip for a homestead with a few Lunar roosters & a goat or two. ....ha ha !

Thanks for representing all SS in an honorable and respectful manner!

Maybe soon we will have a flood of "skull" coins with flagship series The Creepy "Tiffany art" with real pieces of skull, instead of glass.:P

Anyone still remembers Werewolfs?:)

Hey Now theres a great idea and i dont even think its been done yet "real pieces of skull" !

One suggestion I would have though for SM is maybe they should look into the Chinese Counterfeiters doing theyre production since they seem much faster at it...

The Chinese counterfeiters make everything fast....not just coins. Maybe the entire West can learn a lot from the Chinese counterfeiters and then the West can counterfeit the counterfeits so that the counterfeited counterfeits' price undercuts the actual counterfeit products thereby reducing the amount of original counterfeits! :)

Is the excitement over the goat skull dying down now? I just saw a presale on the forum for $240 for the proof which seems lower than earlier prices being asked.

THIS LISTING SHOWS SERIAL NUMBER 001 AS AN EXAMPLE
BUT YOU WILL RECEIVE A RANDOM SERIAL NUMBER.

Looking nice. I didn't notice the serial number there on the rim initially, but it's a good idea if they can keep the tolerances very tight and not have it drift over the edge when it is engraved. I wouldn't trust a mint like Scottsdale to be able to do something like that for example.

Will have to see it in hand, but I think the quality could be better, actually.

Eager to see the BU..

It looks great in my opinion. Too bad that I didn't have the foresight to purchase more than one proof at the introductory price.

I will assume that the BU version will look great too....and at $20 less than the proof, I'm happy that I placed an order for a few BU's at the introductory price.

I've decided I'm selling the remaing 2 Skull coins that I'll be getting. I'm just too worried about this recent 'breakout' of white spots. Not saying they'll get them...probably won't since they're not minted by major mint. I look look forward to holding them for a few moments though. I'm sure they are stellar. The images look great. All the best.

after 2 weeks of testing different finishes we finally gave approval to a very unique "high shine antique finish".
we are 100% positive that we have achieved the highest quality & best visual appeal possible for this series.
We also feel that we have created a fresh, new & unique look for antique finishes that
rivals anything on the current market. We are confident that you will be pleased! "

we received some more information from the project manager, part of the problem with the delay was that
that the mint was behind schedule due to the demand for products in time for the recent World's Fair of Money
in Berlin. Everyone is now back and these coins are now in the final stages of production, the numbering is taking
a little longer than was originally anticipated
. The proof coins are DONE and we are now waiting on the BU coins to
be finished. We are hoping that all the BU coins will be complete and on the way to us by the end of next week.
Thank you so much for your patience!"

Very nice. I wish the whole LUNAR SKULL GOAT was antique. :-)) But it is that high, polish, high gloss stuff...which is beautiful indeed, no question. I'm just not holding on to mine. :-( Thanks for sharing

Dunno why that old thread is still locked.

Anyway, can't wait to receive mine. I'm also huge sucker of coins with "dots" around rims.

I just hope they will send them out according to how they were ordered, so I should get lower number. :)

Per the most recent eBay listing, apparently it will be random..

Does this mean I have a shot at #001 & #500?

And for the BU's, #001, #666, #999 & #2000?
