Here is a site with mintage figures. Looks like most of the later years were 100,000.

hey mtforpar, I don't believe those numbers are accurate. All the dealer here in the U.S. have those same figures, but when I called dealers in the U.K., they almost got agitated that I told them what the U.S. folks were claiming as actual mintage numbers. I was told it is 100K across the board. Can anyone from the U.K confirm? Thanks.

"Oh, Danny-boy, the Brits the Brits are callin..." This might explain why in the free market of eBay the 2006 Britannias goes for such a premium and why the 2002 is a sleeper. Got a 2002 last week for $27 on ebay. I think if people read the story of Boudicca (meaning Victoria) and her rallying the tribe to revenge the Romans at Colchester and London, they might value this coin series a lot more.

wow. that is awesome news. I have a lot of those early years. that is just fantastic. I think over time these will command some good prices, since the work of the craftsmanship has gone down significantly, and they are minting to demand. wow, there are a lot of 2012's. thanks for confirming.

proof Britannia 1oz silver 2 mintages (1997 - 2013):

1997 - 16,005
1998 - 3,044
1999 - N/A
2000 - N/A
2001 - 4,596
2002 - N/A
2003 - 2,016 (plus 3,669 from coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2004 - 2,174 (no coin set this year, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2005 - 1,539 (plus 2,360 from coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2006 - 2,529 (no coin set this year, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2007 - 5,157 (plus 2,500 from coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2008 - 2,500 (plus 2,500 from coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2009 - 6,784 (inclusive of coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2010 - 6,539 (inclusive of coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2011 - 4,973 (inclusive of coin set, confirmed by Royal Mint)
2012 - 5,500 max mintage (inclusive of coin set, mintage to be finalised)
2013 - 8,500 max mintage (inclusive of coin set, mintage to be finalised)

(high mintage as there are no bullion release for 1997. 1997 marks the first issue of silver Britannia "proof", whereas 1998 has the first issue of Britannia in Bullion form).

And according to 2008 Dated UK Collector Coin Sales (http://www.royalmint.com/discover/u...ge-figures/2010-dated-uk-collector-coin-sales), the final mintage for 2008 Britannia silver bullion was 126,367... not 100,00.
