Does anyone know what the minimum purchase value is at CommSec ?
I'm with Nabtrade and all orders need a minimum of $500 value.

$500 is generally the minimum across the board

Just open up a CommSec account and activate International trading

I have an account with CBA. What are you saying - I can buy the shares directly myself and save broker fees?
You can buy them yourself but still pay brokerage, I think it's $25 per buy/sell order. Just link your current account with Commsec account, you will have to check if link is comparable as might need to be a specific account type. I have set it all up but still don't use it because I'm still using Direct shares, in the process of transferring portfolio from St George direct shares to Commsec.

$500 minimum holding in a stock is an ASX requirement so would apply to all brokers

If you want to own less than $500 you can buy $500 worth and then sell part of what you bought
but you'll pay brokerage twice and lose part of the value in the spread - so probably isn't worth doing

Ok I am back. What a PITA, problems delays more delays. Had trouble with ID, apparently i dont exist, anyway i did a trial deposit of a couple of hundred and after a week it emerged in my Etrade account. i will have to wait for another couple of days after i move some more cash in to account today. Been adding to the stack while i been waiting https://youtu.be/g-hVEnEBWLM .. It has cheered me up a bit getting such nice rounds. I was quite stressed when everything wasnt coming together but it should be all ok now. I only want to get a roll of pandas and aroll of monkeys, and the privateer round, then i will sit tight. Enough silver is enough.

Thinking of buying some shares in Brazil Resources Inc but not sure if Australians are able to. Anyone know if you can? Below at 8:15 mark gives great forecast and structure of this gold mining company.

I heard Marins previous boss/partner saying he was the best mining stock analyst on the planet.

Brazil Resources is listed on the TSXV exchange. Australians can invest in most foreign stock exchanges so long as use a broker who covers the exchange, the TSX is no different.
Etrade covers ASX TSX NYSX but the brokerage with Toronto and New York is high. Having said that i will probably still grab a couple of TSX stocks. Brazil Resources has amazing potential. and almost zero risk.

So can someone please recommend me a cheap Melbourne broker that can buy me some Brazil Resources shares. Pretty please!

It's not too late to get a piece of further action if someone can direct me to a cheap Melbourne broker. :/

Ok Placed order 16,200 EXU @.038 13100 ARU @ .046 see if i get a fill tomorrow.
Minimum order value is $600 /trade ,, brokerage $19 i think. At that rate i would have to put in $3600 plus brokerage just to put in 6 trades. could not access TSX so i will have to get on to them , unless someone here knows etrade inner secrets.

For those that trade. I have always used one click platforms when i used to day trade, and always placed order "at market" Should i be doing the same here? or continue with a limit order, as they havnt yet been filled.???

Azure could be a corker. I particularly like the limited exploration that has gone into the area. The zones look good, so there is plenty of room for discovery. The short term downside is the copper exposure. Slowing global demand will be an issue for some time, however a ballistic move in silver should be all it takes to transform AZS into a darling. Thanks Kramer. Any others?
