I counted 30 buyers of the 50 proofs.

Though there are at least a couple of those which are repeat buyers.

I was curious, so I just counted, LOL..

5 repeat-buyers of the proofs. Which means only 25 people snagged 'em, for an average of 2 per buyer.

All is quiet so far on any additional allotments.

If the fast & furious eBay action is at all indicative of how well the other allotments are being received, then I don't think we'll be seeing any more of these anytime soon. And most likely not at these lower prices.

For those possibly interested in the BU, there have been instances in the past where a coin looks nicer in the BU version than the proof.

And keep in mind that a 500:2000 proof-to-BU ratio, or 1:4, is a pretty high one. Apply that ratio to other issues, and you'll see what I mean. :)

Yeah, I'd say that it is probably wrong. LOL. Might get corrected to 75.00? I'll find out though. :D

Looks like 92 in stock.

Anybody got an extra $69K? :D

Yeah, I'd say that is wrong. Even the owner himself said that it would only leave 10 per each dealer he works with. 250 for overseas with his partner in business. 50 for eBay. 200 split among folks like first company. I think it is an error, IMHO.

Saw the $750 price tag and the "Ultra High Relief" and figured it was just another option, rather than a typo.

Looking forward to the 'Lion Privy' version once the seller realises they could have made twice as many and people would still pay high prices.

I hope that on the real thing I will be able to engage my depth perception because at the moment it looks like a skull with two eyeballs still in it, looks double spooky!

92 of the BU in stock, too.

No way. Those guys will have it fixed, is my bet. They'll be lucky if they get 10 is my guess, and there ain't no way in heck he's charging 750.00 for a 1 oz coin that is a new series. Those will be sitting there a long time. Just a SWAG on my part. Jlizard, you don't like the skull thing. LOL. I think it is pretty novel. Plus the obverse is unique. Not the same ole same ole, fat lady for an image. My bet is they appreciate nicely, but not 750.00 nicely...that's like nuts nicely. IMHO. I'll keep everyone posted on what I find out. I say, we'll see a change in quanity and price. :D plus, if you see the description, it shows a mintage of 2,000. So, I think they just ported everything over from the BU, but didn't make the necessary changes.

Says the same on the BU coin, so think there is just the two types (Proof & BU).

$750 looks like a typo... or perhaps just trying to capitalise on demand after seeing 10% of the proof mintage sell out in hours.

If they sell for $750 then your order of 5 for the earlier price is looking like a sweet deal.

I only bought two... :(

This reminds me a lot of the initial interest in the Perth Mint Zeus coin, here's hoping for similar appreciation in their prices :)
That would make getting any subsequent coins at the issue price an almost impossible task for those of us who have this one.

You just made 8.5 times your money in just a few hours, and you're sad about it?? LOL

BTW, one of mine is up for sale for only $725.. ;)

Pre-order for a pre-order!

Proof mintage & quantity have already been corrected.

Yet the price is still the same.

Interesting..

If it is indeed the latter of what you posted, then I suspect that price will start creeping down little by little over time, until they start getting nibbles every now & then.

Yeah, I don't see it. If they raise the price of the BU to 600.00, that's one thing, but to have Proof for 750.00 and BU for 69.00, something wrong with that picture, IMHO. I don't think 500 mintage vs 2000 is a HUGE difference. I say it changes by tomorrow morning. :-)) Just a SWAG.

5 Proofs now in stock, down from 92 just a short while ago.

Apparently they're selling like hotcakes even at $750!

yeah, 5 is in line with what the owner said...he said his dealers get 10 each. Maybe a few at First Company kept some, and they are selling 5. And if they get 750.00, then I say we hit a homerun. LOL. But my guess is NO WAY. Let's see how it plays out.
