I have seen the polished surface chip away but I haven't seen any damage that would alter the weight of the bar which is the most important thing. Chances of getting an ugly bar are high, no one seems to take good care of them.
If you are in Brisbane I'll swap you two nice 10oz Perth Mint silver bars for your two crappy looking 10oz Perth Mint bars. Why? Because silver is bloody silver!!
This thread is worthless without pics!!!!!!!! Hows these for dodgy??? lol You want pretty, buy coins....
Question, I see all those bars have the same logo and was wondering if the perth mint have or at some stage did have different logos? Reason I ask is that I received my first 2 PM bars the other week and one had the same logo as the ones in the picture but my other is different.
Viola! (sorry everyone, not the original poster's bars) Current shape Perth Mint 10oz bar varieties: 1. Large old logo (scarce) 2. Small old logo 3. New logo
Well this does mean that I could probably get a vintage collector bar when mine turns up, might be worth it after all. Do the older ones carry any sort of premium or have any collector status. I do sometimes see threads for older bars.
