Yep, struggling with yet another monster box for his doomsday bunker out in the woods somewhere.
I just tested out at FCC using the PENA12 code... it return an error message of either expired or exceeded its usages.... Also, I see FCC has only 6 units left.... Not buying though.... cannot afford... haha...
I think those discount codes have a limited time expiration. Like many sellers, they reward early buyers. .
Not a fan. Coin is ruined with the agate insert and the price is just ridiculous. For that sort of money id rather put into 2-3 1938 Aust crowns.
Squeezed my pocket dry n placed an order.... the lowest mintage of a series should promise price stability if not appreciation.
You won't regret it Tasmania. I just looked at the video and that coin is spectacular. I don't have the money for it. Post pics when you get yours...it should be shipping soon. Barsenault will probably make a video and get the rest of us who don't have it yet all jealous. .
I got it from firstcoincompany a few months back when they were doing the 12% off promotion thanks to this thread!
Well I got this coin in the mail today and would love to take some photos, however they placed some padding inside the capsule to keep the coin from moving during shipment and I can't the capsule open to remove it...ive been trying for 30 minutes.
Sledge hammer may work. Sorry....I couldn't resist. Some capsules need to be twisted to be opened...maybe that's the type your coin came in. .
I'll give that a shot when I get home. It appears to be a normal capsul, there is just very little room between where the two halves come together that I can't get anything between them.
Eh, not all that far, relatively speaking.. FCC's local post office (Santa Clara).. Hops over to a larger hub next door (San Jose).. Heads a little south, then picks up a flight from LA to AUS More like a little tour of part of Cali. Google Maps is your friend.
WHY CANT I OPEN THIS CAPSULE!?!?!?! I broke both my thumb nails Can't twist it off and can't grip it enough to pull it apart.
Have you tried pulling it up a little in one spot, rotating it a bit to the next spot, pull up a little more, rotate again, etc.? Sometimes it takes a while for larger coins, with several full rotations.
try getting a thin instrument, and slidding under where the indentation is, be gentle, and lift. That usually works. Tweezers? Baseball coins are this way.
They are so tight I can't get anything at all between them. All I need is it to come up a VERY LITTLE bit and I can get it but it is simply refusing. I'm about to stomp on it too get the coin out
I would be happy too but they stuck a piece of foam INSIDE the capsule to keep the coin from moving. It can be seen in the first pick. I need to get it out to even view the coin.
