So every week I'm looking at different coin dealer's websites. Yesterday I found a brand new coin release from the renowned Mint of Poland. The astonishing coin is called the Secrets of Pena Palace, and it's a very high relief coin made with new technology.

Here's an HD video of the actual coin...look at the detail - you'll be floored as I was I believe:

Direct video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QWb68tJUS8

Features of the coin include:
3rd coin of the very low mintage "CRYSTAL ART" Series
Maximum mintage of 688 coins in the world
High ultra detailed relief - higher than Tiffany, Mineral Art and even the previous coins of this series
New innovative minting technology called ArtCam
Spectacular high polish green agate inlay
Brand new obverse and reverse design
Minted only once a year
Certificate of Authenticity

The only U.S. dealer that I can find selling this coin is First Coin Co. here: http://firstcoincompany.com/S/niue-...-crystal-2014-high-relief-antique-finish-2-oz

Make a non-agate version with a larger mintage & less expensive, and I'm in!

Nice stuff...

I found that less expensive part: from the NewCoinReleases website, there's a 12% discount code "PENA12" for this coin on First Coin Company (in California) website

that discount brings it under 276.00. Dang, I need to stop looking at these coins. Geesh. They are nice. I'm going to poke my eyes out.

Ha ha! I totally know what you mean.

It's when I saw the video is when I knew I had to put this coin on my want list.

I think Stark would really like this coin....he's a total lover of the high relief architecture coins and medals.

It went on my list too. I just need to cut my credit cards up now. Becuase it doesn't seem to stay on my list for very long. LOL. That is a super coin. I'm not much into the glass and stuff...but the details on that one was pretty stellar. What I don't understand is this coin has a mintage of 688, but the others in the series has 999, that's kind of strange? It appears that 311 folks won't be able to complete the set? Am I missing something? I think your youtube video is broken.

Yes, mintage is lower...perhaps the mintage numbers for all 3 coins are max mintage as opposed to available mintage. It's possible that another reason exists for lower mintage

I will fix the video link...thanks for the heads up...the video is totally worth the watch.

Okay, I'm not talking to you anymore. LOL. I just dove head long into purchasing one. Can't beat it with a stick at 274.00, and only 688 minted. Yeah, I have to think that there won't be more than 688 of the other 2 coins sold. That would make no sense.

With a mintage of only 688, all of us who are interested should grab one now. Or would that still leave 686 available?

I wonder if the discount code works with the earlier ones?

I just bought 2 of the ones that was released. I just couldn't resist at 274.00 a piece. I think this one is the best of the 3 and the blue one is selling for big bucks on eBay. If I didn't just spend a fortune on some Chinese Great Wall medals, I'd buy the 11 that First Coin has left inventory. Whether they get more, who knows, but they only have a 11 showing. Good luck. Try using the PENA12 on the older ones before it goes away.:p

When the PayPal exchange rate is applied, I'm back up to $330 (AUD). Without the discount code it would be painful :)

As far as I know, the discount code is just for the new release - Secrets of Pena Palace.

Barsenault, I'm assuming you used the coupon code on both coins purchased, yes? I'm wondering if the code works for purchases of more than one of these coins.

Hmmm, maybe something can be done about this. You shouldn't have to pay that steep charge. Contact me through PM and we can discuss me ordering one for you.

Yes, you are right. :)

When I saw pictures I was quite impressed, but after seeing video.... wooooow.

Hope you don't mind if I try to repost the video again here:

I prefer some of the buildings on Tiffany art a little bit more (especially the last 3 ones) and 2008, but the sculpture is amazing, and the reverse if full of details. Maybe even too full.

Always maybe considered this series as a Tiffany art copy cat, but maybe the "student" made the biggest challenge for its "master" so far.

Btw, why they didn't limit the mintage to 666? Would be nicer number. :p

I'm getting beat with these coins! The only thing that stopped me getting this coin was firstcoincompany payment failures after the PayPal redirect back to their site for finalisation wouldn't work for me (with multiple attempts on different browsers too... yes, I really wanted one).

Exact same thing happened to me and I tried all browsers and my tabled. I switched to pay with credit card instead and it finally worked.
