Does anyone know the mintage of the 1oz gold Oriana's? I'm frothing to find out. I've searched everywhere on the net to no avail.
One of the earliest example of an Australian minted bar. This vintage minted bar is not the most attractive however it is quite rare.
Good one Oz; keep them coming These are my latest toys. Extremely high fondle factor. High premiums, top quality bars. Over the top security features, serial numbered bars, matching COA and a really cool holographic type image on the reverse. These pics don't do it justice.
Aurora et luna, Thanks very much for showing us all of the incredible gold bars you hold. Its quite a fantastic collection. Congratulations.
Hi Black Sun, wish I still have those bars; they are long gone. All those stunning vintage 1oz Harrington poured bars was snapped up by a German collector. They don't hang around my store for very long.
nnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeee Just a question though... if someone wants to sell one of these beauties... will you ask far more than the spot price? if yes, how much over/extra in percentage...
Can't give you a fixed percentage as premiums can vary depending on the desirability of a particular bar. Premiums for bars are usually less than for coins. A 1oz blob like this Johnson Matthey round would command less than $30 premium above spot.
Never seem to see these for sale though. They are the way I would like to buy them. They have character compared to the new Perth Mint offerings, which are just rectangle coins in my opinion. Bring back the bars with low margins in my opinion.
You can have low margins and good looks! Just buy Chinese gold bars. One of my favourites! Unfortunately this one has gone to another good home
Sadly I want my gold to look like this Source: http://www.onestoprecycler.com/images/photo_gallery/photos/gold ingot_middle.jpg Anything else looks like a wafer or a blob. I wonder what the smallest size these come in is.
Not putting this bar on the market until spot strikes $2012 If there are any Stackers here who can translate the Chinese characters on the reverse; it would be much appreciated. Cheers
