Some impressions from the quiet and peaceful demos of http://www.occupyfrankfurt.de/ :

About 5000 protesters in the bankster capitol of Germany, heading for the ECB. "Yes we camp" :D

I went down to the Auckland event yesterday.

Sadly it turned out to be way too socialist. I fail to see how the people believe the socaist angle will solve any of the issues.

Far too much about what "the 99%" want but sadly nothing about what they actually want to do. Judging by what I heard we should live in a society where people are not allowed to earn money, desire nice things and work to better their lives. I was told that it was not corporations that are evil. Capitalism was evil and corporations are just an example of what capitalism creates.

The dirty bloody green party was there, trying to score some votes by being "against" things, god knows they never achieve anything (hows that food bill going?)

They don't need to spend the next month camped in a park arguing on more rules and how to gut the profitability of every business.

They need to remove corporate person hood and get to word disassembling legislation that makes it hard for the small operator to run his business.

One by one rules created by national government should be repealed and given a time frame of notice that the rule will no longer apply. Notify local government/councils - Hey this rule is going to expire, if you think this was a valid restriction on peoples freedom you are free to implement similar restrictions on a local scale.

To me it does not matter if it is a socialist government or an the most "free market" corporate driven capitalist society. One government representing all the people of a nation will always ensure power becomes concentrated in a very few people and the rules ultimately end up favoring these people.

On October 27 the Mayan people will start a trip starting in new York carrying the 13 crystal skulls ending on 11:11:11. Each skull contains 1000 years of wisdom dating back to the time of Atlantis to the Present time. We as a species will finally be given back the true knowledge that exists and life won't ever be the same. Read the article at www.mayanmajix.com

Unfortunately, it is not uncommon that certain parties or interest groups want to exploit the momentum of such a public engagement. These may be some very special interest groups (like the "lesbian whale lovers" Nugget mentioned :D ) or, in this case, the far-left/green parties. The latter may see this movement as a chance because, it may overlap with their party platform, and the idea may easily be "tweaked" to match their views. (Admittedly, I was slightly confused about the "Evil Corporations" image above ... when did this become a movement against corporations?). However, if the exreme parties or the usual riot morons who think that it's cool to set police cars on fire do not scare away the real 99%, this movement might continue for a while...
