Well, today's the today Anonymous "are taking the NYSE off the internet." Be interesting to see if this ends us meaning the NYSE web page is just unavailable for a few hours, or if there is some actual impact to trading.

... or, nothing happens at all.

One reason there are no jobs and no hope of real jobs in the US.

Most real things are made offshore. Eg Apple has $80b in cash and their stuff is made by slave labour.

Thinking activists withdraw their money from the major banks, buy food from local producers and wear locally produced clothes.

    How incongruous...

This weekend, the board of directors of Ben & Jerry's published a statement of solidarity with Occupy Wall Street, saying "The issues raised [by the protesters] are of fundamental importance to all of us," and that they "support this call to action and are honored to join you in this call to take back our nation and democracy."

With this statement, Ben & Jerry's became the first large company to publicly step out in favor of the 99%. It's not entirely surprisingthe ice cream maker, which brings to mind tie-die t-shirts, The Band and older bearded men smoking weed, has been socially active since its inception in 1978, and has retained that as part of its image even after being bought by Unilever in 2000.

Corporations should be supporting this cause, because if TSHTF and the middle class falls, they will have no customers and hence no reason to exist. I would have thought that the big corporations would have been the sworn enemies of the bankers that are trying to wipe out the middle classes of the world, because that is an attack on their own corporate income bases.

My mate went to the Sydney one today, he said there were heaps of greens and environmentalist supporters and most people thought capitalism was evil etc A few realised what is really going on but majority was misguided frustration

You will find the occupy wall st movement has been planned for a while by a group called Anonymous who also brought down some card companies who refused to accept donations to wikileaks so this is just one of many phases of action they are behind. Someone has to start the ball rolling so good luck to everyone that is waking up and taking a stand. :)

I really hate it when a protest gets diluted by special interest protests. "Save the left handed lesbian whales"

Two words to ponder if you are open minded. MAYAN CALENDAR! Every 52 years the Mayans wipe all debt and start from scratch. October 28 is another reset date but may occur more on a global scale. Heres hoping. :)

Considering all the exchanges have dedicated networks I suspect the most they will get is corporate web pages somewhere on the internet.
