I'm very new to MCC so this is just an observation, is it just me but MCC prices on Ebay seem to be weakening?

For example, I just picked up the following graded coins on ebay over the last week

    2010 1 oz Silver Panda NGC MS 69 $55.50

1989 Silver 5 yuan Kublai Khan NGC PF 68 $97.00

    1995 Silver 5 yuan Mencius NGC PF 68 $133.51

1995 Silver 3 Yuan Fu Lu Shu NGC PF 68 $130.50

1993 Silver China 10 Yuan Fu Lu Shu NGC MS 68 $175.00

    1997 Silver Unicorn 1 oz NGC PF 69 $316.11

    1989 China 3.3oz God of Wealth PF 69 $1150.00

1995 Proof Unicorn OMP Double Sealed $455.00

Sorry I don't follow the pricing of MCC but I do read a lot about weak price, weak market in other coin forum.

On the other hand, the old China coins are doing exceptionally well, I hate that. Those weird, ugly, dirty copper coins seems to be selling for way higher price on ebay than public auction.

When do I get my turn to buy those coins at cheap price?

    Ouch!

Two years. If you save in gold and silver and not in flat. (uss, euros, and others)

    My Observations:

Some areas are weak. Fractional Gold panda = hot hot hot (some are overpriced imo). Silver pandas are doing alright but nothing special.

68 grade and lower are out of fashion (& crap price) unless it's super rare coin (<1000 mintage).

Newer year Silver pandas are getting smashed in price unless 70 grade. Should go back to normal once more collectors flow in and try to make sets.

Newer year Gold pandas are doing just fine though for some reason.

The SG 2012 PF70 1oz medals are doing damn well on eBay. The SG 5oz in OMP Silver is doing quite well, not as well as the PF70 S1oz though.

GOW medal has been around 1150 for PF69 clouded claw for the past 3 months. It's not weakening it just found a floor and stuck with it. Considering everything else has fallen off the cliff (equities, AUD etc) that's pretty good sign.

Historical Figures in PF68 I picked up a fair few over the past 3-4 months between $60 - $95 US ea, they were "NCS'd" from westshore2000. Quite cheap and I don't see them going any lower recently. PF68 is just overall mediocre until the market swallows up all the 69s and nothing left to buy so move to 68. Still cheaper than OMP from Xu Hong so I bought them to keep for collection.

Unicorns have been overall weak compared with 2011 and many say are underpriced now. The series is quite expensive and nice but I have resisted moving in (even though prices are good) because I'm already too diversified.

GuanYin series hasn't had much movement, the 1999 Gilt spiked in prices a while back and I suspect it's because I 'overpaid' on my MS69 and dragged the price up lol. Maybe.

Fu Lu Shu in PF68 has been around 150 mark for at least past 6 months. I paid ~$245 + shipping for my MS69 around 2 months ago so that price seems fair, not weak.

Thanks for the insight. I also decided to pick up those PF68s because Xu Hongs prices for the OMPs were quite high.

Wow bargain 2006 & 2000. The 2011 maybe a few dollars too expensive but still overall bargains!

Now if only I can find a 2000 MS 69 mirrored panda for under a $1000. NGC price guide lists MS 69s as $1000

Not bad compared to those guys who listed at $299... what a joke lol. I paid $300+ for MS69 (wayyyy higher than market prices at the time) and also paid $170 for MS68.

OMP was around $130-150 at the time if I recall correctly (might be wrong though).

So some upward movement but not too much.

Only recently, i've got into the the panda fever and was in the buying spree last week. Managed to get a few bargains

    a) 2008 MS69 - 83
    b) 2005 MS69- 84
    c) 2006 MS69 - 91
    d) 2009 Capsule - 53
    e) 1996 MS67- 63
    f) 2006 ACCA PR69 - 70
    g) 2009 MS69 x 2 - USD 144

Unfortunately, USD has appreciated quite a bit over my local currency
I've noticed the momentum has gained back. especially 2009s, capsule now fetching 60ish . Used to be easily attainable @ late 40ish-50ish

    2010 MS69 is averaging 60ish now

Yea I have noticed some weakening but price fluctuations have been volatile with many MCC for the last few months so it really doesn't concern me for the long run.

I can say from experience that my Ebay account has done fairly well though.

Maybe it helps that I ship anywhere in world but I listed several 67's & 68's along with a few 66's and they have been moderately selling at good prices. Since I'm in no hurry to sell these coins I listed them all at "buy it now" prices and I have been selling a fair amount of coins at slightly higher than average prices. Many of them have been NCS conserved but not all.

One of my recent sales was that G10Y 1983 Gold Panda for $375 and that is without shipping. I also recently sold a NGC/NCS 2005 S10Y MS68 for $115 (shipping excluded), today I sold a Colored Proof 1998 S5Y MS66 for $75. This not a bad price since I bought this coin raw for $38 so graded I only have $60 into this coin. If I break even on these lower value coins to reinvest in others I consider it a "win".

While I realize these are not high value items the point is that low value items have and can be sold at decent prices if a little patience is expended. :)

Wow!!! The 2005 MS 69 for $84.00 is a great bargain. NGC price guide has it at $125.00. I just picked one 2005 NGC MS 69 at $103.50

Also just picked up a NGC 2007 MS 69 for an ok price of $86.01. NGC has it listed for $90.00

#$*(&#$(*&#$ made a nice post about price disparity between China and "eBay" and I get some shitty 403 Forbidden error.

BAH. For those interested just search PF69 Palladium 2005 Panda and compare ZhaoOnline vs eBay prices.

Nah lol that's a pack of 10 in OMP from years ago ($3220)

The one I'm referring to is the ZhaoOnline $921.32 sale vs eBay $7xx.
