everything on CNN is staged, the objective was to show what a nutter AJ is. Even though 80 % of what AJ says is probably true, the leftist/corporatist media wants to out him as a nut, and he obliged nicely
If he could handle himself like a human, he may get a bit more credibility. Can you imagine trying to convince anyone about your cause if you this was the your spokesperson !!! The man is a raving lunatic...
I think Alex Jones justs lets himself down by being a pig head. Alex does have good ideas but if cant engage in a conversation without yelling and being a twat, it doesnt show him in good light.
Alex Jones is just a paid shill nowadys, not sure if he always was but he certainly is now. I think they got him on just to discredit the Alternative Media as a whole. Not many Alternative Media folks believe he has a shred of credibilty left but it does not help trotting him out.
As a propagandist he does a great job. Loud voice. Simple points. Repeat and repeat. New marks hear him and old followers cheer him on. Clever man.
Yes, unfortunately are these the followers we want. His intelligence gets in the way of his emotions, which makes him look worst than Tom Cruise on Oprah, What the hell was that... As you said, Loud and Simple... repeat, repeat, repeat.
Very interesting guy Alex, I think the world will probably get to find out what he is really made of at some stage throughout Obama's second term. If he is not a shill then he will probably end up as a political prisoner at some point similar to Assange.
It is not just the loudness, but when you try to get a point across by repeating like a little kid asking for lollies, you loose most rational people. Then you revert to cheap impersonations to insult and poke fun at the host. That does you no good either. If he went on said, Yes the Semi Automatic has caused this... however these are the reasons why I am against it. These have been some of the similar situations in time and the outcomes. He would have gained a far greater audience than he ever thought possible. Love him or loathe him Piers has a huge audience, if AJ was so smart he would have looked at this as an opportunity to convert a huge amount of mainstream people to look a little further. All he ended up with are a few patriotic fruit cakes Yoh USA !!! instead of getting some support from masses who may push his cause. While it creates publicity all I think the majority saw was a fruit cake, with no credible argument or conversation. 1 - Piers / 0 - Alex Jones
+1 - exactly. not a smart move at all. Standing his ground and calmly getting back to the points made by the host, while providing official figures to back his words would have had a far greater impact than the pathetic path he chose, looking like an absolute nutcase and actually making the case for greater gun control. Not smart, great missed opportunity and loss of credit.
I had to cringe as I watched that. That was embarrassing to the point where Piers lead AJ round like a little school kid even though Alex was doing all the ranting and raving. Considering it was supposed to be a debate on Guns in America instead of a one sided rant with what looked like over 200 years of pent up emotion anger and frustration by Alex, I thought he was going to burst a blood vessel. Piers took him from the gun control into the conspiracy world of 911. It was a deliberate ploy and IMO AJ got sucked in, chewed up and spat out. Big opportunity missed. I won't bother listening or watching him again. Cheers markcoinoz
Alex Jones reaches millions of people exposing the truth which is good. He's way of getting his message across is at times childish and I have often wondered if he could be a paid operative. But I highly doubt it. You should never take one mans word as the WHOLE truth. Instead look into certain facts and topics and make your own mind up. I will continue to listen to him and inform my self on certain issues.
Regardess, I think his infowars hits will have surged and not only in the US. He's front page news in UK also. Something a 'reasoned' debate would never achieve.
and I see he's hit front page of the Melbourne Age also mentioning his quote: " It doesn't matter how many lemmings you get out there on the street begging for them to have their guns taken from them. We will not relinquish them, do you understand?" Interestingly, the edited version makes Jones look passionate (perhaps 'very angry') and well informed. No grab for 'suicide pills' etc just his main points and his guns gone crime up song over and over. Simple message. Repeat over and over. Again, smart man who managed to use every advantage of mass media exposure.
Maybe not staged by Alex. But certainly staged by CNN or Piers Morgan. They knew Alex would behave exactly like this.
