For those following this thread that don't know, I am one of the owners of Choice Bullion. We and Lois & Don Bailey and Son are the only 2 dealers for the primary market of these sets. Between the two of us the the entire 250 set mintage is a little more than 80% sold as of today. Something that we've taken notice of is that this set, within only 3 days quickly became one of the top 5 most clicked products on our entire site. While we don't have quite the expansive inventory as some of the larger dealers, I believe this is pretty meaningful information for anyone that invests in Libertads or anyone that doubted the market for them was that large. We limited these sets to 1 per customer for the same reason that we sold them for what we believe is a very reasonable price, we wanted as many collectors as possible to have a chance at purchasing one before they make it to ebay where I won't be surprised to see them sell for $800-900 or more.
I can vouch for this company as I have done business with them. Trustworthy and great prices. If you get on their mailing list, they have occasional specials offered only through their mailing list and advance notice of soon to be released coins from Mexico. .
Neat...now I know who I can turn to for Libertads and other Mexican coins. I'll PM you when I plan to order. .
I have dealt with Choice Bullion on numerous occasions. They are always top notch. Fast replys will any questions you have and Super fast shipping as well. They had a lot of the rare Rwanda coins we couldnt find
As have I on numerous occasions, even so far as getting multiple coins that resulted in 70 grades. Check your dodgy detector at the door.

I understand now. I will have to do that. I have actually followed this blog for a while now. Lots of good information. I just never registered. But i saw this post and Choicebullion is a dealer I use quite frequently. I cant wait for this libertad set to arrive
I am sure the demand for them varies from country to country and from time to time. A couple of years back Libertads were pretty big on this forum as people were looking around for something a bit different and there weren't that many around. I mostly judge demand based on how often they get mentioned, and on this site they get a bit of a mention but not a lot of threads, so I assume they are not that popular, and if I was buying them to flip them to other members on this site I would assume it takes longer to sell them and I might not get the top price. They are probably very popular elsewhere but as I am unlikely to sell them anywhere other than here or in an Australian bullion dealer I have to be more concious of the local demand rather than the global demand, so probably not worth the premium for me. They are nice looking coins though and I like some of the older mexican coins as well.
Waiting on delivery of the 7 Coin set, in the meantime.......... This arrived in the mail today 2013 5 Coin Mexican Libertad with COA and Box Packaging that every company should try to emulate, nothing less than a sledge hammer could have opened this package in transport Thank you Choice Bullion !!!
Choice Bullion showing: Availability: Temporarily Out Of Stock Cash Price: $500.00 *Price does not include 4% Processing Fee for PayPal Payments Qty: Temporarily Out Of Stock That seems quick. About a week or so?
Surprised they lasted that long , biggest thing to hit the libertad market for many years, a collector must have set.
It's TEMPORARILY out of stock, implying that Choice Bullion will get additional batches and have them available again?
Not sure. It was originally a pre sale which implies to me that they never physically had any in hand.
