I went in a while ago and got $500 worth of $1 coins to rummage through. Came in a big armaguard bag with individual $20 bags inside. Never did it again as the tellers interrogated me and i wouldn't give them a straight answer as to why i wanted them just to spite their nosiness.
Go to the pokies. Get millions to sort through for free....sort of. And Wormhole, could you please change your handle back to Metalzzz. Metalzzz is way cooler.
Had mine arrive from the RAM the other day in their packaging. Must say, they are a very nice coin. I have also ordered the RSL ones, so am hoping they will turn up this week. The circulating coins seem to be the tricky ones to get. Especially in rolls or some such. The way I figure it, it might be worth something for the kids one day, especially if I can put the full set together.
Wasn't looking for anything in particular, I found a couple of C mint marks that some idiot decided to spend
If you ever do it again, just say you're helping out at a school fete and needed to make sure there was enough change for the sausage sizzle and jumble sale stall. Not that it's any of their business to begin with but sourcing coins for change isn't a very unusual request. The annoying part of it for the bank is they have to deal with all the loose coin you bring back so hunting for rarities just makes more work for them. They can't exactly stop you doing it, but they don't have to like it either so just tell them a story to get them off your back.
Hi If you goto the commonwealth bank , there is usually a machine in branch which you can pour the loose coins in yourself . It's easy fast and the tellers do get the shits Hope this helps James
Is there anyone us, Canadian, can get a hold of this coin? I also know the Australian also releasing a new $1 (Discovery of Gold) and 20 cents (Australian Mining) coin
I just went past the RSL and bought 2.... And then came home to find my RAM one in the mail, just need to find some circulating ones now they look so awsome
WoW so lucky, I can't wait, but what I noticed is the current years coin usually Thales awhile to pop up in my change
I went out and Ebayed one of these exact coins, however if feels strange paying $20 for a two dollar coin.
I've been getting them as change from my local bakery , but I've been selling them to a local coin dealer . I can't be bothered with coins on fleebay for a while yet
