Do you reckon a general circulation coin in "good" circulated condition would be worth more in the future than one of the collectible "C" mintmark coins in mint condition? I'm thinking that.
The Answer to your Question is "YES!!!!!" the circulation ones will be have greater growth % rate JUST A HEADS UP THE COIN IS OUT IN CIRCULATION ALREADY!!!! I have customers coming in with them on sunday hope this helps P.S the c - mint mark coins will be available around the first week of july Happy hunting James
Yesssss!!!!!! After about a 1 month absence finally, a $2 remembrance coin came through the till 5 minutes ago. Swapped it with the Mrs for a scungey $2 coin I found under the mat at the front door when I was hosing that must've been dropped by a customer yesterday. Bonuses all round
Guys..don't forget the first coloured $2 coin is in circulation. Also...those folk who pre-ordered (5) from the RAM would be receiving them in the mail now. The mintage is only 2,000,000...compare that to other mintages here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_two-dollar_coin I reckon...this is a good coin for a bit of beer money in the years to come, or a good coin to pass-on to the grandkids. Cheers H
Just got a purple one thru the till. Unfortunately it's got a big ding next to Lizzie's head, amazing how a can a coin can cop such treatment having only been released a week or so. Anyway it's been nicked and will go in with the others, picked up another Remembrance Day one today as well. So it's been a good day.
i think they will be very collectable in the future for sure. It's easily the best looking Australian $2 ever. i got a couple of coloured ones at the Devonport RSL "awesome RSL guys" Its modern old school RSL. The money they raise, goes to raising awareness of retaining our Australian history and supporting our veterans, current ADF, ex servicemen and loved ones. they do a bloody good job. Little things like that make this coin special to me.
Got a Poppy yesterday and two today too. Makes 72 I've got squirreled away. If they don't increase in value I'll consider them part of my $2,000 cash holdings for emergencies. So when the SHTF, I'll be on my pushbike with 1,000 $2 coins in my pockets, kilos of silver in the milk crate on the carrier, food in my backpack and my Bowie knife and baseball bat slung over my shoulders.
I saw a poppy $2 in the train seller's teller at Central Station last weekend so i asked him to swap which he did. My five purple $2 came through from the mint today. Don't know where you lot are getting 72 of the poppy coins, they are hard to come by.
I have about 50 of the poppy now, 1 unopened bag which I'm real happy with and a few carded. Still haven't come across a commemorative in circulation yet
It's been a long time between drinks, one poppy came through the till today - it's been about 2 months since I've seen a poppy, and just as long long for the purple one.
